I began seeing Dr. Ngoc Ly in April 2023, for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I always have White Coat Syndrome especially when I don't know what to expect. As I have never had to see an Orthopedic Doctor before. She started my treatment as a very nice, knowledgeable professional. I had to edit my original review because she later refused to complete the necessary paperwork that was requested by my Worker's Comp Rep on two occasions. The 1st time, she said she never received it. All she had to do was verify that my left hand was an industrial work related issue like my right hand. So, my left hand could be treated and I could have the necessary surgery. I later found out from my Workers Comp Rep that she did in fact receive it but instead of verifying what was asked of her, she wrote a note on the paperwork stating that she wanted my Surgeon to evaluate me. The 2nd time it was faxed to her office, I waited to make sure she received it. She assured me that she would take care of it. However, she wrote the same note on it, sent it back to my Workers Comp Rep. This caused me quite a bit of anxiety, frustration, pain and hardship. It also delayed the treatment of my left Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Left Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery because she didn't do what she said, was supposed to do. I ended up being overpaid and owed Worker's Comp 1 weeks pay. It also delayed the pain and other carpal tunnel symptoms I was having with my left hand. After treating my right hand, and I had my Rt Carpal Tunnel Release Surgery and Physical Therapy, Dr. Ly released me to return to work without addressing or treating me for the left Carpal Tunnel Syndrome completely. She claimed there was no mention of the left hand in my paperwork. I didn't understand that because on my original claim and paperwork I completed for her office and everywhere else was: I have carpal tunnel in both hands however, the rt (dominant )hand is the most severe. At this point, I no longer trust her or want to be treated by her. So, I talked to the Department Manager Jessica, conveyed my concerns, lack of Dr. Ly's integrity. She listens attentively, apologized for the issues I was having with Dr. Ly. Jessica was very instrumental in assisting me. She assured me that she would talk to Dr. Ly. On my next appt with Dr Ly, it was very evident that Jessica followed through. Dr. Ly was overly nice, actually acted like she was concerned. Jessica arranged for me to see another Dr there. It was Dr. Gupta, she unfortunately was no better than Dr. Ly when it came to my care, listening to my concerns, questions. She'd ask me a question, before I could give her an answer, she cut me off mid sentence. She did that several times. I found her to be very snippy and rude, highly unprofessional. I happened to see Jessica on my way out. She asked me how did my appt with Dr. Gupta go? I told Jessica that Dr Gupta was very snippy, rude, wasn't interested in what I was asking, talking about, she cut me off several times and I don't like being treated like that. It was as if I had offended her, or done something to her. It was almost like Dr. Gupta and Dr. Ly had a conversation about me prior to my 1st visit with Dr. Gupta and she wasn't happy to have me as a new patient. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She was talking at me rather than to me. I told Jessica between the two of them, they make me not want to ever come back!!! Jessica told me she'd talk to Dr Gupta and she did. I kept my 2nd appt with Dr Gupta. I'm glad Jessica made arrangements for me in the interim to transfer my Workers Comp needs, care to Kaiser Permanente Antioch CA at 4501 Sand Creek. I have a new Dr. Razavi and Physical Therapist Teresa Turnage and they are consistent in every way, professionalism, knowledge, polite, friendly, listen to and answer any questions or concerns I may have. They always explain what they're going to do before they do it, make sure I understand. They take time to hear me, and respond accordingly. They have excellent bedside manner

After my Kaiser doctor of 20 years retired, I chose Dr. Timmothy Merrigan at Kaiser Park Shadelands to replace him. After seeing him several times, I can report that Dr. Merrigan is definitely the worst doctor I have ever encountered. He is dismissive, uninformed, and intellectually lazy. He doesn't even put in the effort to pretend to care. He's just terrible. I switched to a doctor at the WC medical center and will never go back to Park Shadelands again.

Don't go with Dr Taher, she's terrible . Her patients care is awful, she won't check you in person, she won't speak with you regarding medical issues and won't answer your heath message concerns. She's very rude and has her MAs (that don't know anything) address your concerns. And when you request to have the dr call you back. She won't. She doesn't answer her messages and won't call you back.
