So bummed Dr. Rodriguez retired:( not only was he amazing but his whole entire staff was friendly, kind and went above and beyond to make you feel welcome.Fast forward to whatever year we're in...Dr. Michels is nice and informative but her staff is not only unkind but arrogant and down right disrespectful.We arrived for my daughter's appt and the sliding glass door was locked even though 3 people were visible as we tried to open...they knew we were there but fully ignored us. Bizarre that even though we arrived early to a return appt...we were treated like we've never been in before and ignored. 2 minutes later the receptionist abruptly opened the slider and asked who the appt was for...when I answered, she rolled her eyes, grabbed a clip board and paperwork and handed it to me without looking in my direction. As she closed the slider again, she told me to knock when I was finished. This was the most uncomfortable situation I've ever been in medically. The doctor was nice but there's so many out there who will not only appreciate our business but make sure their whole operation is running efficiently, respectively and with kindness. We will not be back...ever.

I've been using the Optometrists at Costco for about 10 years with great satisfaction...until today. I stopped by the store to refill my Dailies contact lenses ($83.00), and noticed that Costco has Daily Wear lenses as well for about $53, and wanted to try them for a month... of course the Opticians can only sell what is prescribed...got it! So I spoke to the office staff and asked if they could get my optometrist to simply approve my change of brands...a simple request done by many offices...but NOT under the policies of Kimberly Michel, OD. I would have to make an appointment ( 3 weeks out) and pay an office visit for a new exam ( even though my prescription is less than 6 months old)... and they wouldn't even ask when the optometrist was between patients. WTF! They expected me (and most likely you) to Spend nearly $175 to ask if I can have a -2.50 Costco brand lenses rather than the $83 brand of Dailies I've been wearing. My response is that I will be using another Optometrist rather than the money grubbing group at Costco. So, if you are at the Costco in Vista on Hacienda Way, don't expect to receive anything for loyal patronage... or trying to save money... no the staff is all about the money, and NOT your vision care!

Dr. Sharon Leong is absolutely wonderful! Anyone needing optical services should come see her, she is so professional and an absolute delight to see. She brought up issues with my eyes that no one else has shared and I felt more comfortable than I ever have before. I will only come to her from now on, I am so thankful to her and the wonderful ladies here! Thank you!
