About California Karate Academy
California Karate Academy is a business located in Vista that offers martial arts training six days a week for children and adults. The academy teaches self-defense, personal awareness and discipline, fitness, and fun for students as young as three years old. They have two studios and over 45 classes a week, and they also offer cross training for students seven years and older with their Brazilian Jiu Jitsu supplemental program. Parents have expressed their gratitude for the academy, stating that the instructors are extremely professional, passionate, helpful, and friendly. They appreciate how the instructors not only teach the kids about self-awareness and respect in the studio but also emphasize the importance of showing respect and responsibility at home and in school. Parents have observed a significant improvement in their children's behavior and a positive change in their character. The academy has strong women instructors who serve as excellent role models for both boys and girls. The instructors teach useful self-defense skills, language, technique, athleticism, perseverance, self-management, and other life lessons that the children enjoy. The staff is top-notch, and the children have made friends in class and see familiar faces from school and other activities. The academy offers a Black Belt Program that includes weapons training and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. They also have summer camps and Ninja Nights that the children look forward to. The parents highly recommend the academy for any parent looking for a great karate/BJJ school to place their child in. The children learn discipline, acquire new skills, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
My 10- and 7-year olds have been at CKA for a few months, and we are very happy. We tried several studios before we signed up officially at CKA. The choice was easy to make. Not only did the kids enjoy the class more, but the parents I talked to during the trial classes, whose kids have been there a long time, highly recommended CKA. As one mom put it, the expectations are high with a lot of nurturing. I love that it’s woman-owned with several other women teaching. It has a well-rounded feel that I don’t typically experience without women running things. Master Mikita and Master Arango have great energy that both my son and daughter thrive with. Check it out for yourself.
Amazing place and staff. I highly recommend using this dojo as a way to introduce and teach your kids martial arts. All ages are welcomed and you will have fun watching your love one mature in MMA.
You will not find a studio that genuinely has the love and dedication for your kids as this studio. They have a great balance of discipline laced with respect and love for each student. We are blessed to have them in our son’s life.
