I have gotten boot zippers replaced here twice. Each time there was a quick turnaround, and the work seems to be of quality. It was expensive (to me) but when you think about cost of materials, labor, equipment, shop rent, and experience, the price seems reasonable and I feel that he is honest. This time, I noticed he touched up some messy stitching and loose leather bits that I did not ask him to! He didn’t even mention it. I think that speaks a lot to the pride he takes in his work and that he wants to provide a quality service.
This guy is the absolute best. I look 2 pairs of Tony Lama boots in to him, one pair of smooth leather and one pair of python boots. They were very damaged from a young family member and I asked him to just do his best. He charged a very reasonable amount and he did an INCREDIBLE job. He went above and beyond and even touched up things he didn't charge me for. He managed to get the scales on my python boots to lay flat (they had been curled up for years) and he filled in deep cuts in my other boots and brought color back to areas that had totally lost their color. I left with the biggest smile on my face.
Ramon fixed a pair of English riding boots for me today and I couldn't have been more pleased with his prompt, attentive service. He earned a loyal customer today and I look forward to having someone I can trust with my shoes and other leather goods!
