I learned a lot from Austin, his lessons broke drumming down into simple steps and followed a logical progression which he suits to meet the experience level of his students. I have a musical background with piano and I was very grateful that he progressed at a comfortable pace adapted to my level. He is a great teacher for both beginners and people looking to advance their drumming skills. Thanks Austin!

I have been taking weekly 90 minute lessons with Austin for about two years now and have been really liking it! It is definitely a highlight of my week. It is apparent that Austin has a strong, lifelong dedication to percussion. Lessons are very relaxed and easy going. He is always able to find that next focus point that is not too difficult or too easy that will take me to the next level. Our 90 minute lessons really fly by and I am always surprised when it is the end of our lesson. Before coming to Austin Wrinkle’s studio, my son had experienced a wide range of drumming instruction, good, bad, and even ugly. It wasn’t until he arrived at Mr. Wrinkle’s door that he learned and became solid in the fundamentals of rhythm, stick technique, and musical notation.Austin has a spacious studio with two drum kits, a great advantage above previous studios we were associated with, because he can both demonstrate the techniques and observe the student simultaneously.Austin has a great deal of experience, but won’t spend the lesson bragging about that.
