Not ashamed to admit..I'm bald. They charge me $8 for a cut..$8! I went to a place on Burbank Blvd..$25 and i walked out laughing. Estrella Barber Shop does a great job for a fair price..you'll have to wait a bit but it's worth it. Give them a try..you won't be sorry.

This place is great, the barbers really spend the time to make you look great.. They offer great value for the price you pay. This is the reason they are always busy, and if you dont get there in time, they will give you a number you'll have to wait. But they barbers do spend the time with each client.

The old school barbershops are disappearing in the SFV but Estrella Barber Shop near the corner of Victory & Van Nuys Blvd. is one of those last holdouts. This is a small, tidy 3-chair shop that attracts primarily a Hispanic clientele (and the barbers are not fluent English speakers from what I gathered) and they are always busy. Why? Because they are good at what they do. They specialize in fades, tapers, flattops and other traditional clipper cuts and the barbers take their time. I was probably in the chair for a good 30 minutes with the barber that mans the middle chair who gave me a great high & tight (the bottom half was shaved with a straight razor), finished off...read full review
