About Bay Area Motorcycle Training

Bay Area Motorcycle Training offers beginning and advanced rider classes in San Francisco and Vallejo, with Vallejo classes held at the Solano County Fairgrounds. They provide the DMV riding test waiver for students who pass. Motorcycles, helmets, and gloves are provided for beginners. Classes run on weekends year-round and on weekdays in summer, with both online and in-person classroom sessions. The office is remote but reachable by phone or email on weekdays. Instructors are described as great, thorough, and firm on safety, doing demonstrations to ensure understanding. The class is considered straightforward, with a simple written test. The approach is strict but forgiving for new riders. The advice is to come with a learning attitude for a fun and educational experience focused on motorcycle safety.

I had a great time with instructors that care about your learning.

I went in for a weekend course, so my review is for that.

    Things to consider:

Don’t be late, if you’re late and they may turn you away for that, that’s on you not them.

Bay Area Motorcycle Training is using one side of the range and Nor Cal Moto is using the rest of the range, so when you come in you will be asked if you’re with Bay Area Motorcycle Training or Nor Cal, two separate entities.

I was with Bay Area Training. Met our class at 6 am and came prepare with gear. MAKE SURE YOU BRING THE RIGHT GEAR, if shoes are not covering your ankle well...read full review

They are strict but it’s important for motorcycle riding also allot of the bad reviews are from people who didn’t pass the class so keep that in mind. My only thing that I would like then to improve on is better bikes but I bet they would just get stolen.

Carl and Anthony were great instructors, very thorough with each section. Carl would do demonstrations more than once to make sure we understood what to do and would tell the class what to look out for. As long as you come with the attitude to learn and leave the ego at home you'll have plenty of fun and learn a lot about motorcycle safety.
