About Defense Arts Center
The Defense Arts Center is an excellent place to learn traditional Japanese Karate, specifically Shotokan Karate. The center, located in the Eleventh Street business park, offers a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, from children to middle-aged parents. The instructor, Sensei Ty, is a knowledgeable and caring teacher who leads with remarkable expertise. He and the other sensei provide patient instruction, ensuring that students understand the techniques and their practical applications. In addition to Shotokan Karate, the Defense Arts Center offers various other martial arts styles such as Aikido, Wing Chung, and Kodubo, providing a broad range of learning opportunities. The center has a one-week free trial for new students, giving them the chance to experience the dojo firsthand. The karate program at the Defense Arts Center covers kihon (basic moves), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring), as well as self-defense movements. While there are many karate dojos around the area, including Upland, Ontario, Ranco Cucamonga, and others, the Defense Arts Center is the only place where you can learn real Japanese karate-do. Overall, the Defense Arts Center is highly recommended for anyone interested in traditional Japanese martial arts.
