So I just had my Dad's funeral on the 13th were I was told I could put his urn casket in the ground when I met with staff while making the arrangements, my uncle and my dad laid the caskets down before as well on 3 separate occasions. This weekend the grounds men told me no that I could not. After calling and waiting 5 hours today for staff to get back to me, I was told that it wasn't allowed. I am so hurt by this to tell me I could when I was in the office then to take that from me is horrible I am so disappointed with the service that was ( wasn't) provided. I am so hurt...

This review is on the behalf of 200 guests who also felt this way. We had a funeral held at Turlock Funeral Home for my uncle. The service was beautiful the property is gorgeous.. I do want to say that a lot of our family is Christian & we do go to church… BUT this pastor who spoke was so strange and unprepared & his story brought absolutely no comfort to our family with the words he spoke.. It almost felt like he was saying our family member wasn’t going to heaven? & in the beginning we were wondering if the pastor was late to the service and in his speech he said himself he was late.. really? I would never want him to speak at my funeral or any of my loved ones ever again. I almost wanted to stand up and make it stop.. then when it was our turn to come up on the podium to speak about our family member he wanted to sit and hide right behind us instead of removing himself from the stand so we had our full opportunity to speak. Turlock Funeral Home please find a new Pastor who has comforting and more supportive words to say. Cause that was NOT IT. Pastor Phil is his name..

Recently, my family and I have experienced repeated disturbances from a man in a golf cart, whom we believe is named Lonnie. We held a heartfelt rosary ceremony for our loved one’s first birthday at their resting place, accompanied by two church members—one meditating the rosary and the other playing guitar. No speakers or microphones were present. This was done on a Sunday, as there were no services that day.

The next day, on what would have been their actual birthday, we brought a small 10-inch cake placed on a modest cake table. However, we noticed that two men in a golf cart passed by several times, watching us closely. Eventually, security approached and asked us to remove the table, which we did without issue. Yet, we weren’t allowed to place even a simple blanket or towel under the cake, which felt demeaning.

Less than ten minutes later, the same men passed by again, now on foot, and even approached security in his red car. It was clear we were the subject of their conversation from their glances, and we felt singled out.

When security returned, they informed us that a so-called “banda” or “mariachi” performance the previous day was not allowed. This, unfortunately, felt like racial profiling. I even have video evidence of the previous day’s event.

In light of these incidents, we feel our special day was unfairly disrupted. We hope that staff can undergo cultural sensitivity training to better understand and appreciate diverse traditions. Please feel free to contact me for further discussion.

12 days ago, my aunt passed away, so we held a funeral service for her here and buried her at the cemetery; it was sad for all of us, but we did it for her.

It was beautiful to be able to join in the service when we are so far away. It was clear and respectful of family and Jas. Picture was clear and amazing to see all family we are unable to be with during this time.
