Ilona is simply amazing. She taught us so much and choreographed our first dance perfectly, even with a difficult song I was set on. We were amazed how she was able to take a couple of non-dancers and turn it into a masterpiece that made it seem like we've been dancing together for years! People were blown away by how good our dance was at our wedding, and we owe all of that to Ilona. If you have the chance to hire her, don't hesitate to do so!
My partner and I had Ilona as our instructor for our first dance for our wedding. We did an Argentine tango number to “Sometimes when we Touch” by Dan Hill. She was able to educate me about proper shoes for tango and dress to accentuate my foot movements. She made sure that we got our footwear and attire on time to try them out at our rehearsals.
Ilona explains things well and is encouraging. When she provides feedback it is constructive and we learned a lot. Guests at our wedding said that our dance was beautiful and another guest said that it brought tears to her eyes. I have come to believe that Tango has the potential to be a life changing experience. If you want to improve your balance, memory, rhythm, confidence, or ability to connect with people, take the leap and give tango a try. Ilona is the perfect guide for this. She is detailed, systematic, supportive, and has a sense of humor about it all. This makes her classes feel safe and fun at the same time.
