This is for Dr. Andraweis and his whole team. I had a total knee replacement on 1/2/2023. Today is the 11th so I'm 9 days out of surgery. I cannot tell you how great this Doctor and his team have been. In the hospital he was there to talk to me before the surgery, while I was in the recovery room and in my room the next day. I'm not going to lie, this is a very painful procedure, but I knew exactly what was going to happen and I had the confidence what I was feeling was normal. I was up walking the day of surgery and the next day, and because of that I was able to go home. I have had Physical Therapy here at home 4 times and next week I move to outpatient therapy. Dr. Andrawis did my hip replacement two years ago and the whole experience was excellent. Everything was outstanding; from the diagnosis (I just thought I had pulled a muscle), to the pre-op class, the pre-op itself and the recovery. The Dr. even followed up with a phone call to make sure I was doing ok. My hip feels great and I'm walking, running and biking with no after effects.I recently went to see him again due to some fluid build-up in my knee, and again, my experience was nothing short of excellent. I was in agonizing pain with my knee. I really couldn't walk on it more than a few steps. When I saw Dr. Andrawis I felt that I needed immediate surgery. We are leaving on a 6-month trip in 3 months and I want to be sure I can walk. After talking of over with him we decided I would try a cortisone shot, oral medication, and physical therapy. We would revisit the issue again when we return in 6 months. Well, after the injection in the knee I felt better immediately! I was much more comfortable. I am so very grateful for Dr. Andrawis.
