“Dave & Roger and their crew did an amazing job. It's been a little over a year since he and his crew completely transformed our huge corner lot front and side yard of dead turf surrounded by a 30 - 40 year old privet hedge that had been improperly maintained for over a decade. Our yard is now a gorgeous, colorful, thriving, perennial garden oasis of meandering pathways. We did not want to lose the hedge due to the privacy it provides but it was horrendous looking and seemed beyond hope with mostly bare dead branches and being taken over by ivy. Dave's crew cut the entire hedge down to almost nothing leaving a single bare trunk for each tree/ shrub and with a new drip system installed, it has grown back & filled in better than we ever thought possible. It was a major part of the job and they did an amazing job renovating our hedge. Dave is very knowledgable about plants and their growth habits and how they will look once mature and which plants will grow best in any given section of the yard based on sun exposure. After he was done, he walked us through the entire yard and told us the botanical name of each & every plant and described how it would grow and what color flowers it would have. We spend a lot of time in our garden now with our dogs and they love it as much as we do. Dave installed a simple wire fence- 4 ft high that is hidden by the hedge and safely contains the dogs in our yard so they can meander & frolic chasing faeries, butterflies & bees. We had interviewed about 6 other companies and love how the yard turned out. I do need to mention the reason I docked 1 star: we didn't like the attitude and being scolded for doing things in our own garden without asking for Dave's permission. We found ourselves asking, "Should we ask Dave first" or "Do you think Dave will get mad?" LOL! There's far worse things that one could complain about besides having a knowledgable landscaper who puts his whole heart & soul into each job so if we had known that about him before hiring him, we'd definitely choose him for the job.“

Geoff designed and his team installed plants for our front yard and trees for our sidewalk basin, taking into account San Francisco microclimates and our personal preferences. Knowledgeable, flexible with scope changes, and willing to take on our smaller project when many landscapers wouldn’t. Generally responsive and easy to work with—our yard looks great!“

“Brian and Noe did a masterful job on both our front and back yards! The end product was more beautiful and more serene than we ever could have imagined. We’ve gone from never using our backyard to using it daily. Our front yard was an eye sore and now it brightens up the entire block - we especially love the gorgeous paver walkway they built which brings us joy each time we use it. Brian’s pricing is slightly higher than others we had contacted but it was well worth it!We had read many reviews about Brian’s “organic” process and though we were a little skeptical, we got the sense that he was very experienced and a true craftsman and decided to go with him, and we're so glad we did. He has a great sense for how to design a space, balancing form and function. His experience also allows him to bring a calm and a confidence in his ideas, which he used to skillfully guide the process. There were a couple times where we had wanted to interject a point of view that would have resulted in a less nice end product, and Brian was great at hearing us out, but also gently guiding us in a better direction.Finally, here are a few of the things we really appreciated:- The ability to weigh in some design choices (e.g. pavers, turf, etc), but those choices being limited so that we were choosing between better and best- The flexibility that the “organic” process allows for (we went back and forth on the backyard water feature and in the end decided to go with it + we added add’l lighting that wasn’t in the original proposal)- The speed with which he and Noe completed the work - the whole thing was done in < 6 weeks- The handover walk through and accompanying plant map and instructions, which gave us some pride of ownership- Brian’s responsiveness to our follow up questions after the job was completed“

It’s a pretty little green spot in the Bayview \\u0026 they do garden design \\u0026 maintenance. Everything can be purchased on-line or call for an appointment. They even have open studio events through out the year.“

“This is the coolest secret hangout in Mill Valley. Such a special place to pop in and chill, or bring a friend and enjoy a cup of tea and a game. Not only are there several really cool chill spaces, there seems to be an endless supply of tea and sometimes cookies that just magically appear. The art installations are top notch. What a unique find and creative idea, we are so lucky to have a place like this. It's kinda hard to explain, so just go check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.“

“My garden was overgrown with weeds and really needed help. I interviewed 4 different landscaping companies and Bill had the best quote for the big job needed. He completely landscaped my garden according to my vision of having a sort of French country garden. He installed a drip irrigation system that continues to save water use several years hence. He also provides monthly upkeep and is always responsive to my phone calls. I don't know what happened with the prior customer review, but I know from my personal experience with Bill that he would give an honest response regarding feasibility of landscaping a garden for a reasonable cost. I wouldn't use anyone else as he has proven himself trustworthy over the three years he has worked on the upkeep of his design. I love driving up to my home and seeing the beautiful, lush garden surrounding it. It makes such a difference!“

“Our landscape designer referred us to RRL, and we were so happy to have them on our project. We remodeled our entire garden, including installing new fences, shed doors, and carport screen in addition to landscaping.
Our project manager, Martin, and his team were fantastic to work with! Martin had a great design idea for updating our carport door and screen and we couldn't be happier with the result. He came by often to make sure everything was going well. Interactions with the business office were smooth with prompt and accurate billing and clear communication about change orders.

“We needed a new deck so I had three deck companies come and give bids. All had good reviews on Yelp. All three had similar opinions on what would work, what we should avoid, and other considerations when it comes to how much we wanted to spend. In the end, all three bids had similar parameters, but Arrow came with the best price. Also, they could start quickly, within 2 weeks, while the other two wanted two months to start. The job took less than three weeks and it looks great. If I saw something I wanted to change, they did it immediately without any pushback. Within five weeks from the day I met Gary, I had a nice big brand new deck. Gary and I would text or call each other whenever he or I had a question. He was very responsive. Great service. During the final touches I was so impressed I asked Gary to give me a bid for a new set of stairs on the side of the house. “They have great selections of various stones, from flat stones to pebbles. Also super sweet and amazing service. We’re doing own project, and the flat stones are too heavy for us. They help us break them in smaller pieces and demonstrated tricks to break them in details so that we can customize them ourselves at home. They also shared great suggestions based on our needs. “Beth did an amazing job designing our new backyard. She is truly an artist and created something far more beautiful as well as practical for our family than I had imagined. My less-than-5-star rating is for a few difficulties I had with the process. The first was when she ignored/forgot that I had a budget and when the initial estimate from the installation crew came in, it meant the overall project would cost triple my budget. Second, I found it somewhat difficult to work with her on the design. If I had left her to design what she wanted 100%, everything would have gone perfectly smoothly. But I knew what I wanted and she had some problems with that...and rather than having a discussion with me about it, she just sort of avoided it, which was frustrating. I had the feeling that it was similar to commissioning an artist to paint a portrait and then asking for something to be changed...an artist wants the freedom to create the art they envision and is frustrated with a client who wants something other than their vision. In the end I gave in. I wanted a garden with lots of color and large blooms...and I have a gorgeous garden, but there's virtually no color. There was one large bloom plant that was included in the installation-- hydrangea, 5 of them-- but only one has survived. One other minor complaint is that now that plants have been growing for 9 months, some are too big for the space they were planted in and others have covered up smaller plants entirely. Beth was a pleasure to work with other than these challenges.“

“Francisco and crew have been taking care of our yard for the past year. They redid my sprinkler system, which reduced my water bill,and come every other week for maintance.
