Most of the appointment was spent speaking with a third year internal medicine resident who typed notes on his laptop while I answered questions and barely made eye contact. After he departed and consulted with the attending physician, she came in and spent maybe 3 minutes with me. Seemed to be an inconvenience to have to interact with a patient. Received a lab order and went to the in- house lab but the technician turned me away because I was not fasting for the lipid panel. The new 2026 cholesterol guidelines from ACC/AHA state that a fasting lipid profile is no longer required. Guess they are a bit behind the times at Arroyo Oaks. I had a visit with Dr. Susan Mayo, MD and it was hands down The worst experience I have ever had. I would not recommend your service to anyone, in fact, I would consider legal action for emotional damages. The fact that I had to pay $25 to be bullied by a woman in California, who couldn’t hold a professional candle to my eight-year-old is UNREAL. You’ve allegedly practiced medicine for 23 years but I’ve lived inside my female body for 31.5, THIS IS MY BODY. I’ve been coming to this office 10 years and never had an issue. The staff have treated me respectfully and my doctors nurse gets back to me and handles my prescription refills same day with no issues or she calls me to discuss dr OHevshalom is the most thorough Dr and spends so much time going over history and current issues. I can get my blood work and ultrasounds all done there also.
