So lovely, empathetic, and educated. Office is super clean. This is the best family practice l've been to. The team is extremely helpful, and I couldn't be more grateful to have such an amazing physician, Dr. Rosina Chen.

I’ e been going for years. The only reason why I didn’t give this a one star is because the doctor is amazing. She’s patient and genuinely cared. The front staff, especially the office manager, is the only reason for the poor rating. The office made an error when we requested records and she refused to own up to it and then charged us twice for the same thing. The miscommunication, unfortunately, stemmed from her English capabilities and we didn’t want to be unkind and say it to her face so here we are.

I don't think this place really needs patients. If you are in good health and rarely need to see a doctor then this is a place for you. However, if you have any concerns, it's a very hit or miss place because the receptionist either will help you or won't. They will make up excuses on checking on test results. I was just told it usually takes 2 weeks to get your lab results. Also they will never take initiative to give patients a call. You have to be the one to call and ask them for it. I called for my test results on Tuesday and was told they will let the doctor know then they will call me back with the results. I did not get the results and I called today. The receptionist started to question me about when I did my testing and when I called. Then was told she will check with the doctor. Is this normal practice for a patient to wait 2 weeks to get their results? Edit: Another receptionist got back to me around 5 and was able to give me the test results.

My experience at this clinic was incredibly frustrating due to the unprofessionalism of the receptionist and serious concerns about HIPAA compliance. To start with, the receptionist was not only unhelpful but also rather dismissive and my inquiries were met with impatience and vague answers. It was clear that customer service was not a priority, which is especially disheartening when dealing with healthcare-related matters. The most alarming issue, however, was the clinic's apparent disregard for HIPAA regulations. This lapse in privacy is both unprofessional and a significant violation of patient confidentiality. It's crucial for healthcare facilities to protect patient information and provide respectful, attentive service. Unfortunately, they fell short on both fronts. I don't recommend this clinic based on my experience.

This medical office has two doctors, Doctor Rosina Chen and Doctor Stella Chen. My doctor is Dr. Rosina Chen, but let's refer to her as Dr. Rosina rather than Dr. Chen as not to cause confusion by calling her Dr. Chen since Dr. Chen refers to both Rosina and Stella. They both have the same last name because they are sisters. Let's start off about the office itself. The office is clean and neat as you would and should expect from a medical practice. The decor, color scheme, furniture and so forth are very nice and a peaceful environment for waiting until your doctor sees you. The staff consist of two people in the front desk. I am sorry but I don't know the front desk names but there is always one person who is the same each time. She always helps me. She is very pleasant, in good cheer, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. She does MA work and takes your vitals before seeing your doctor. The second person at the front has been different people during each visit and I deal with them also, and they are equally as good as the one I deal with all the time. Then they have an MA to help out. A different one than the front desk girl. I got my waxy ears flushed out by the MA under the supervision of Dr. Rosina. As far wait time goes you need not wait long. They do a good job of scheduling and spacing out patients. Maybe I wait the most 30 minutes to see Dr. Rosina, from checking in, sitting down, getting weighed, sitting again, going into the exam room, getting vitals done and seeing Sr. Rosina. That is perfectly acceptable. Dr. Rosina has been my doctor since January of this year. I sought out a new doctor because my previous doctor who I had not seen in 5 years, when I tried to make an appointment was told I was considered a new patient since I hadn't gone in years, and she was not taking new patients. Okay, fair enough and understandable. I was satisfied with my previous doctor but I much prefer Dr. Rosina. My old one rushed everything and barely spent time with me. She knew her stuff but wasn't a people person or took time to explain things. I wasn't actively looking for a new doctor, but looking for different restaurant reviews and other retailer reviews and I clicked on a reviewers profile to see his other reviews and stumbled upon Arete and the reviews were good so I thought I will go there if they accept new patients. I live in MP and this office is TC which is not so close to me but it's not unreasonably far, plus my ex-girlfriend lives in TC so I used to see her a lot in TC and TC is a very familiar place to me and not too far. I also get my tennis racquet strung at Karen's Tennis up the street, get my massage at Divine Wellness around the corner and eat Ramen at Ajisen Ramen around the corner. I am otherwise very healthy with the exception of high blood pressure due to weight and stress, maybe heredity also. Good blood work and so forth. That said, because of this I had to see Dr. Rosina a number of times since January. Initial visit, come back for blood work results, then came back after a few months to see if I will lose weight and get the BP under control, which I did not, get Losartan and come back to see if it is working. Had I had good BP, I would have seen her twice and that is it. Dr. Rosina is well spoken, explains well, knowledgeable, understanding and efficient. She speaks to you in a way that non-medical personal can understand. I actually am medical personnel but I am not a doctor, not a nurse either, I am a Radiological Technologist, so the reality of it is I don't understand from a medical standpoint how the body works. I know bones and do good imaging, but not knowledgeable with all the inter-working of our physiological system. Dr. Rosina explains things well and on my level. She also takes the time to make sure I understand what treatment I need and what else to do. My previous doctor knew her stuff but she was too rush rush and that I didn't like. Thank you Dr. Rosina for caring and taking time to explain things and not being rush rush. One thing to

I've been going to Dr Rosina Chen since I was a teen (I'm now in my early 30s lol) and she is hands down the best doc I've ever had. I've had experience with other doctors when I moved abroad and when I briefly had Kaiser and no one else compares. She kindly explained to me how Paps are conducted when I was younger and scared, found me medication that best suited me through trial and error, and always listened. I will say though, the staff is hit or miss (but I think they're always trying) and it's impossible to schedule an appt under 2-3 months in advance. They do try their best though and fingers crossed you get lucky when you need something urgent!

I agree with other 5 star reviews. I go to Dr. Chen even I have PPO as I trust her and her office staff. Dr. Chen is very respectful to parents, her exam is full and complete, all health issues are addressed. They are very well organized, service is prompt and complete. All correspondence with them so far are positive, all inquiries were met with professional response. Just not to be late to your appointment as they are very strict with appointment time, but I respect that.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stella Chen for over 15 years now. I really appreciate her as a doctor. She is very knowledgeable and makes me feel comfortable when I see her. Office is always really clean. Over the years, I see a huge turnover in her front office staff and nothing ever changes because they are still very disorganized. Sometimes front office staff mistaken me for another patient, times where they would call me 15 minutes before my appointment to have me confirm when they should be calling you earlier, they don't always answer or follow up with your emails, and there times where I confirmed in person and they will called me multiple times while I was at work just to get another confirmation (what's the point). I get allergy infections or allergy rashes sometimes once or twice a year or every other year depending on weather and I get discouraged calling to book an appointment because they would always refer me to urgent care. You would have to book appointments months in advance and if you cancel your appointment you'll have to wait even longer. They don't have availability most of the time if you need a closer appointment. As great of a doctor she is, I don't recommend her to new patients because these problems always arise, which makes her very unreliable as your family doctor especially when you have chronic illnesses or if you really need medication for infections.

I have been with Dr. Stella almost 10 years. I do love Dr. Stella, she is nice and very patient. However, I have major issue with her policy. Ever since Covid, the office locks the door and each time when you visit, you will have to knock and wait until someone inside to open the door for you. I understand this policy during Covid but now Covid is over! Each time I visit now, I feel unwelcome. They also do not like to take patience unless you are visiting for physical exams. Also, don't even think about asking additional questions about your problem during the yearly exam, you will be end up paying a copay and considered as a sick visit! It is not about the extra copay that you have to pay, it just makes you stressed out when filling out the paper work! Maybe it is a small concern that you want to ask, but you will have to categorized under a sick visit! I don't think I will ever visit here anymore due to all these policies. Family doctors should be a place to give you comfort and more knowledge about your health, but Artete Family Medicine has been failing on fulfill these needs!
