this was my first time I came to this place and it is a wonderful experience. it was relaxing and I told them what I wanted and they delivered I do recommend.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in for a balayage and Caitlyn Shao ruined my hair. She damaged it so much that she had to cut 5 inches of my hair off, and told me that she was going to do ash brown instead as she was washing my hair. Then she styled my hair, my fault was to pay and tip her for this service. When the curls fell out I noticed there were chunks of my hair in the back soo damaged that the hair is breaking. I have been a customer for over 5 years, and when I called to let her know the situation, she was defensive and hung up the phone on me.

The stylist should NOT be doing straighting services. I've had Japanese hair straightening(thermal reconditioning) done in the past, and went in for a touch up on my new growth. The stylist over-processed my entire head of hair. No remedy is possible at this point. I researched the brand they use before-hand and it is reputable, however the application method is bad. Do not recommend for this kind of service.

As per others comments they charged extra $$ saying long hairs. My hairs are just 2 inches below shoulder length and I paid extra $$. Its not same quality of service as before anymore compare to Last couple of times . They Reduced material to be used, reduced steps in the process of permanent hair straightening. As a result, few of my (inside layer) hairs are still wavy after a wash (after 4 days). Overall ok, but not great.

I will say the have one of the best price in bay area for the quality of service you receive. At least for my wife who went for hair smoothing and perm.

Went for the second time today. Caitlyn was my hair colorist who Knows hair!! She recommended a color and got my hair exactly as she had showed. Very personable too. Will be returning back to their new Sunnyvale location (across an Apple office).
