I’ve been dealing with ongoing neck pain and nerve symptoms, and it’s been a confusing process.
Dr. Richard shinil Kim really stood out because he took the time to listen and explain what’s going on with my spine and nerves in a way I could understand.
Unlike some of my previous experiences, I didn’t feel dismissed. He connected my symptoms clearly and guided me toward the next steps in my care.
Without his help, I would probably still be wondering what’s going on, as I had difficulty getting clear answers with other Kaiser doctors before.
This is what a PMR doctor should be—someone who listens, understands, and looks at the full picture.
I’m really grateful to have a doctor like this. His approach made a big difference in helping me feel understood and more confident about my treatment.
5 stars honestly don’t feel like enough to reflect the level of care I received.
Highly recommended for anyone dealing with spine or nerve-related issues.

I'd never been to that location before, but it was easy to find, right off Lawrence Expressway. There was plenty of parking, unlike at the Santa Clara location. The people there were all very pleasant - Check in was easy. I was surprised to find there was no co-pay required for my acupuncture treatment. Registration was quick and easy, and I was told how to get to the proper place. When I got upstairs, a very nice lady met me and said she'd take me back right away, even though I was a bit early. She gave me a simple form to fill out, and told me I should have 3 appointments, a week apart. Then she asked if I wanted the same day/time as the first appointment. I asked to have it moved from early afternoon to late morning, and she did that for me - but then I realized traffic would be way worse in the morning, so I asked if she could move it back to early afternoon, and she did so, willingly. Emerson, the acupuncturist, explained everything as she went along, and was very personable. She told me, correctly, that I would feel a sting as the needles went in, but it wouId only last a few seconds. I had feared I'd get bored sitting there with nothing to do for 20-25 minutes while the needles were in my ears, and I had brought a magazine, but Emerson said it would be better if I just relaxed, so I did, and I wasn't bored at all - it was a very pleasant experience...a nice way to break up the day.

Ly provided a calm, positive, and stress free environment which resulted in my having a high score for my memory. It was a very great experience

Nurses and staff are very helpful but the wait time and delays are unacceptable for allergy shot appointments. I do not recommend Kaiser if you have allergies.
Even if you arrive on time, you might wait 30 to 60 minutes to get your shot if the clinic is running behind,and then you still need the 30 min afterwards to check for a reaction.
Some weeks the clinic is on time and others it's a 30+ minute wait. For patients on weekly shots taking time off of work for these appointments this is unacceptable. It means we need to consistently plan for 2-3 hours off of work with the commute to the clinic.
Prior to Kaiser I have been to 3 other allergy clinics (on non Kaiser insurance) and I have never seen delays like this for shots. Many other community clinics have less staff too like 1-2 nurses giving the shots in an area but have a much more efficient system that is considerate of your time.
It's enough that I am seriously considering switching away from Kaiser and recommending my friends and family to stay with other insurance plans. I have had a great experience with Kaiser otherwise but the delays at this clinic are unacceptable.

Dr. Mehraby is extremely caring. She always listens carefully. She speaks clearly and deliberately so my mother can hear and understand the interactions. Dr. Mehraby and her team are excellent. We feel my mother is exceptionally well cared for. We highly recommend Kaiser and the geriatric department.
