Hi!I'm a 61 yo male, currently with several health issues. I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinsonism (different from Parkinson's) and tardive dyskinesia (caused by medicine.) I've also had 2 TIAS (minor strokes.)Recently, I had severe tremors, trouble walking and writing, and kept losing my balance. That's when I went to my PCP for help. This time, ataxia was the movement disorder responsible. I never heard of ataxia before. I was alarmed when I experienced such sudden imbalance! All of these conditions together intensified my commitment to take physical therapy seriously. Hi! I'm a 61 yo male with several health issues (e.g., early onset Parkinsonism, tardive dyskinesia and two TIAS.) Recently, I had severe tremors, trouble walking and writing, and keeping my balance. My PCP told me it was ataxia, a movement disorder. I had never heard of ataxia before, and was very alarmed at my sudden imbalance! The doctor said medicine might help, but also, strongly urged me to go to physical therapy. All of these conditions together intensified my commitment to take physical therapy seriously. Only a few days after my PCP'S referral, I got a call from PT Solutions (on March Lane in Stockton) to make an initial appt. The phone representative was professional, yet friendly. PT Solutions is a clean, comfortable place, with enough room and therapists to focus on recovery. The therapists are very knowledgeable and intent on each patient's goals and needs. I went to Stockton PT Solutions (W March Lane) twice/wk for 2 months and noticed the following things, in no particular order: * Everyone was caring and personable, yet competent! * Though referred for specific reasons, the very first day, the evaluating therapist focused on an unrelated problem I mentioned, b/c it was causing pain at the time. Now, that's real dedication and concern! * Diligently wiped down machines/equipment, as well as, changed linens, after every use. * Plenty to do. No, or at least less, waiting for other(s) to finish. * Exercises vary somewhat each time, so not boring. * The exercises given me greatly decreased my pain and improved my overall health. * Both cold and hot water, as well as, restrooms and towels are available. * Accommodating/flexible in special or unforeseen situations (thank you!) * Medicare is accepted. * Their rate, even w/o insurance, is reasonable (according to my billing information.) * Therapeutic modalities, such as TENS, heat, ice, etc. are NOT available. * My initial evaluation provided a goal and an approach for improvement. * Regular evaluations marked my progress. Due to multiple back surgeries, I've been to several physical therapy clinics. I have to say, IMHO, PT Solutions (W March) is by far the best! Hopefully it won't be necessary, but if I need physical therapy again, I will definitely return to PT Solutions! To be honest, I don't usually write reviews. However, I feel compelled to share my incredible experience! So, if you have issue(s), like pain, that could benefit from physical therapy, why not go to PT Solutions! A clinic that realizes every patient is unique, and every physical challenge a subjective odyssey.
