A-1 Fence & Deck Company, Inc.

A-1 Fence & Deck Company, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been providing professional fence and deck installations in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1978. They offer a variety of fence styles using materials such as wood, iron, chain link, vinyl, and aluminum. The company is known for its professionalism, superior craftsmanship, and personalized customer service.

A-1 Fence & Deck has a strong reputation for customer satisfaction, with much of their work coming from referrals and recommendations. One customer praised the company for being respectful of their landscaping during a backyard fence replacement and offering a fair price with several options. Another customer appreciated the exceptional workmanship, noting that the project enhanced their home exterior for a competitive cost.

The crew was hardworking, and communication with Melanie was easy and supportive from the job estimate to completion. The owner, Matt, was acknowledged for his skilled workmanship and the high quality of materials, like the better grade of redwood lumber from their lumber yard compared to common grades from places like Home Depot.

However, there are some concerns regarding detailed housekeeping and follow-up work. One customer noted that while the fence was constructed professionally, the cleanup was not up to standard. They felt disappointed and mentioned that the young helpers were not properly taught the importance of cleanliness. Overall, A-1 Fence & Deck is highly recommended for its craftsmanship and customer service, despite some areas needing improvement.
