Derek is the consummate professional and detail oriented like you've never seen. He will give you his absolute full attention and listen so carefully to you. Once you've made a plan together, he will use his extensive experience and talent to provide exquisite color and/or a great cut. Derek gave me the best haircut I've ever had.Between a heat wave and a Corona home trim, I was ready to abandon the albatross of long hair around my neck. I explained my idea to Derek with vague buzzwords and flapping hand gestures, and he nodded sagely. He sized me up as quick as a surfer checking Swami's during a south swell. After a flurry of snips and clips, I had transformed from a frumpy top-knot basic girl to a fun, chic sophisticate. Derek has the talent to bring out the best your hair has to offer, and he's a super nice guy on top of it.The salon is extremely clean, light, and airy. Been going to Do's & Lipstick for a couple of years. Loved the two hairdressers, Mallory and Crystal as well as a backup Monique. Then they were gone. IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE THEY WENT, PLEASE, PLEASE SHARE THE INFO.
