Vet/founder unable to provide comprehensive radiology diagnosis comparing Academy x-rays taken to x-rays taken a week prior. Founder had to phone Owner and presented 3 different "stories" from their radiologist. Vet/founder self-contradicted radiology review in phone call No. 1 when review was repeated back to Founder. Invoicing personnel very rude, unexplanatory, uncaring and demanding of payment. All in all, this business does not appreciate healing animals and little expertise was shown of advanced diagnosis or prognosis. Owner was told by Founder, "sometimes animals just get sick and die".

My fur baby Zico just got home from getting his Bordetella Vaccine. He has been in their care for four years now and as much as my boy is not a fan of the shots, I KNOW he's being seen by the BEST VETERINARIAN doctor and staff. They've helped us when Zico became a jet setter and because of their help he has been to the East Coast, Las Vegas and even Brasil We will return there in October and I know that all his documentation will be in order thanks to the team! Thank you and Obrigada from our Portuguese and Brazilian family to yours.

Thank you, Academy Vets, for helping me deal with a health problem my Sammy cat had last Saturday. The doctor was out of town but vet tech Danny helped me reach Dr. Zanders over the phone. The doctor spent a good deal of time talking me through the problem. I followed his instructions and the problem was quickly resolved. I'm very grateful for his responsiveness and the wise advice he gave me.

I am so happy with the entire team at Academy animal hospital. My family has been bringing our pups here for years, but I really was able to experience them first hand throughout this past year. My mother passed away in March of 2022, and I took over the pitbull I coerced my mother to adopt initially :) it was perfect because she was able to have a ton of attention all day and play in a huge backyard. Anyways after mom passed I was fortunate enough to be working from home and take care of the sweet pitbull named Ziva. Every single vet and staff member here is so amazing! I know it's more costly than other vets in some other areas- but they are worth it! They really really care and love your animals the way you do- they are more emotionally and mentally invested than many hospitals for human beings. They put in 110% every time. Incredible follow up- follow up like I don't even get with my doctors! I trust them 1000 and they go out of their way and above and beyond. I could not say enough positive things about them.

I am so beside myself with the compassion of the staff at Academy Animal Hospital. I came to Academy for my dog's end of life, after he passed. It was a bad day for me, and they let me take my time to say goodbye. The card the staff all signed meant a lot. He was my boy, and their sentiments helped me heel, remember, and say goodbye. A huge thanks (again) to the staff at Academy Animal Hospital.

I would like to thank Dr. Zanders and all the staff of Academy Animal Hospital for outstanding care for our dog Max. Dr. Zanders went above and beyond to help Max. As Max had a challenging clinical situation he spoke with several physicians to help to arrive to the correct diagnosis. He treats Max as his family member and we just could not ask or imagine a better care!! Dr.Zanders is a exceptional doctor! Also every person we interact in the Academy is very friendly and helpful! Over the years Academy hospital Doctors and staff have been there to support me and my fur babies through the best and worst of times. I'm so grateful I found them 14 years ago when I moved to San Diego. I've recommend them to many friends over the years. If you're looking for compassionate care that isn't over priced look no further.
