I want to commend Portola Systems for their outstanding work. I am the president of 4th Street Laser and Surgery Center, as well as one of the partners at Eye Care Institute. I am the partner in charge of IT. Portola Systems has been managing our complex IT needs for our medical practices since 2015. The healthcare environment is highly complicated from an IT standpoint, requiring robust uptime and security. Indeed, the rules governing HIPAA and HITECH are difficult to manage.
