About Scotts Valley Veterinary
Scotts Valley Veterinary is a veterinary clinic that has provided care for many families and their pets for over a decade. The veterinarians and staff are known for their expertise, kindness, and compassion. They go above and beyond to ensure that their patients and their owners feel comfortable and supported during difficult times. One family recently visited the clinic to get a second opinion about their 14-year-old black lab's tumors. The clinic offered surgical removal as an option, and while the tumor turned out to be cancerous and the recovery was uncertain, the family was grateful for the honesty and options provided. They appreciated the staff's understanding and flexibility when they decided to put their dog down, and were touched by the thoughtful gestures such as being able to say goodbye in a peaceful room with candles and blankets, and receiving a handwritten card with their dog's paw print. Another family has been bringing their pets to the clinic for many years and highly regards the current veterinarians. They were impressed by the veterinarian's kindness, patience, and helpfulness when their pet was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. The staff's support and understanding during the difficult decision to put their pet down, and the thoughtful details such as a soft blanket, dimmed lights, and choices about staying with their pet during the process, were greatly appreciated. The clinic's staff are known for their love for pets, as they are always kind and gentle with the animals and their owners. The vet techs, in particular, are praised for their skills and compassion with the family's "pupperoni". Overall, Scotts Valley Veterinary is a veterinary clinic that provides excellent care for pets and their owners, with a staff that is knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate.
I went here with my family to get a second opinion about my dogs situation and this place was so great and gave us hope and options. We have been here before in the past for my dogs and cats i’m pretty sure but since then we moved to san jose and we made the drive down here just because this place is so great. My 14 year old black lab was really old and he started growing huge tumors on the side of his abdomen. This place gave us the option to surgically remove it and we were more than happy to do that since the last place just told us to put down the dog (we really wanted it removed). Long story short, we found out that this tumor was more cancerous and would spread...read full review
Scotts Valley Veterinary has been our vet for many, many years. I have to say that the veterinarians on staff now are the best ever.We had to make the decision to put one of our pups down this week. When I called the office on Monday after my pup hadn’t eaten all weekend and was very lethargic, the schedule was too full to see us. They suggested I go to the ER. I was heartbroken. I later called and spoke to Dr. Clift about the results of my pets bloodwork from the week before so that I could share that info with the ER vet and she found a way to squeeze us in to the schedule. She kept in touch with me multiple times throughout the day with the results of the tests performed.When...read full review
The staff has been amazing with all 3 of our dogs. Couldn't ask for better service and care when it comes to our fur babies. We started at their practice with a rescued cane corso and a rescued bully breed of some sorts. Both were seniors when we moved here part time. Our "dangerous" breed dogs are big babies and have always been treated great by their staff. We lost our cane corso and now have a sweet little rescue puppy and she has gotten great care as well. She has been a handful to give eye meds to and they have gone above and beyond all of our expectations for her.
