We discovered Garrod Farms via recommendation from a friend. We have had a good experience so far. Our daughter has been taking lessons led by Pablo. We also had the opportunity to go on a trail ride which was a lot of fun. The horses are super nice and friendly. The stable staff are great. You can see how much they love working with the animals. It also is fun to finish watching lessons and walk over to the winery for a little something for the parents ;)

I've been rding at Garrod's since I was a kid--decades! Great place to board with so many faciities and friendly people. (This is not one of those snooty barns.) I don't live in the area any more, but when I visit I always try to get up to Garrod's for a trail ride. Last time I went for a trail ride with a guide on the trails that wind through the eucalyptus trees. Absolutely gorgeous. Such a peaceful, relaxing ride. Friendly guide. I have ridden both Western and English at Garrod's, shown in horse shows, taken lessons, attended 4H meetings, trail riding on my horse and their horses, boarded my horse... it's just a great place to be around horses. Definite five stars!

Garrod Farms made my 10-year old's birthday so special. I have to admit I was a bit nervous before starting this adventure. My son had so far only sat on ponies when he was way smaller. I had never done a trail ride either.I'm so happy to say that all my nervous flutters were unnecessary. Everything was well explained and handled by the staff. You have ample time and assistance when mounting your horse. Each horse was well matched with their rider. The horses seemed well taken care of and it was clear the guide was well informed on each of their personality traits. My horse tried to get a few snacks in and was a bit stubborn.
