Last Saturday my 8 yr old ginger tabby Charlie came in the house limping so badly I thought he had a broken hind leg. Dr Meka was tho only vet willing to take him on a Saturday without an appointment. Charlie received excellent care from Dr Meka and his staff who provided a gentle but thorough exam, sedation and x-rays (which were thankfully negative). They sent us home with painkillers and care instructions. The cost was hundreds of dollars less than the Urgent Care estimate I had been given for similar services. Dr Meka even called the following Monday just to check on Charlie, who is improving daily. Thank you Dr Meka and Mast Animal Hospital!

What stood out most was a moment during the exam when my dog was scared and anxious. Dr. Singh got down on the ground with her. He didn't rush her or force anything. He met her where she was, literally and emotionally. That kind of compassion isn't something you can fake, and it's not something you find everywhere. He clearly cares deeply, not just about treating illness, but about the animals and the people who love them. Dealing with a sick pet is one of the most stressful things a pet owner… read full review

My dog Chanel had an emergency and their whole team was wonderful in explaining what the cause was (anal rupture) how they would take action to correct the issue, and the follow-up appointments. They really care about your pets! They took their time explaining the medicine, doses, everything.
They even went above and beyond. I thought there might have been an issue with Chanel's stitches and emailed them a photo - they quickly responded letting me know what I was seeing was normal.
I recommend them to anyone in Santee or nearby for great care!
