Hidden gem! Was in town for pie during the beginning of COVID closure when I drove by this unassuming place with the "weaving" signage. Intrigued, I called later and found that in addition to the shop, Beryl also offers lessons in her academy. She accommodated a few schedule changes so that my friend and I could drive down from LA and do a half-day class with her and it was one of the most fun memories I have from quarantine. It was a joyful day and while I haven't had a chance to return I really hope I will one day. It is amazing that someone who has been at it for so long still is able to share the craft and continue to create beautiful pieces. A must... read full review

I am from Maine, and while visiting the Borrego Springs Art Center, I learned about The Julian Weaving Studio. I arranged a visit there, and Beryl was so gracious and willing to share her time and amazing knowledge of weaving. She is an enthusiastic teacher with boundless energy and talent. Highly recommended!
