Hidden gem! Was in town for pie during the beginning of COVID closure when I drove by this unassuming place with the "weaving" signage. Intrigued, I called later and found that in addition to the shop, Beryl also offers lessons in her academy. She accommodated a few schedule changes so that my friend and I could drive down from LA and do a half-day class with her and it was one of the most fun memories I have from quarantine. It was a joyful day and while I haven't had a chance to return I really hope I will one day. I am from Maine, and while visiting the Borrego Springs Art Center, I learned about The Julian Weaving Studio. I arranged a visit there, and Beryl was so gracious and willing to share her time and amazing knowledge of weaving. She is an enthusiastic teacher with boundless energy and talent. Highly recommended!

This is textile therapy, color therapy, and active meditation all rolled up in a beautiful piece of clothing you can make it one day and get a lifetime of compliments while you stay stylishly warm. And then there is the retail therapy of wearable works of art.
