About Santa Rosa Memorial Park
Santa Rosa Memorial Park is a well-maintained cemetery with beautifully kept grounds. Visitors can drive through the gates when open and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. However, it is essential to check the hours before visiting, as the main building has limited hours and is now closed on Sundays. The cemetery also hosts a solemn Memorial Day Service, honoring those who have given their lives for freedom. The office staff is helpful and kind, assisting visitors in locating gravesites. The cemetery is generally well-maintained, with some areas needing more attention. Visitors have reported issues with the security personnel, who may not be fully aware of the posted visiting hours, leading to an insensitive experience for those visiting their loved ones.
Last week, I stopped into the office to get directions to a couple of family members gravesites as I hadn't been there for a few years and was visiting Santa Rosa. Jackie in the office was so helpful and kind. I appreciated that.
It's very well maintaining cemetery, Have a few family members here, They did
a very nice setup for my brother n law.
Bathrooms are at the very top at the office. So if you have to go, it's a long walk.
I was here to visit the final resting place of Robert Ripley, the man who created the famous Odditorium and the man behind "Ripley's Believe It or Not." And in the process of finding it, there was a lot of searching and walking the cemetery.
It is in very good condition, one of the "lawn" style cemeteries rather than "park" style. Laid out in lines with sections and lanes between them, it's an easy walk and in fact a number of folks were here that were clearly not mourners but walkers. I would suggest that if you are walking, do so respectfully and no, dogs are NOT permitted in the cemetery at any time.
Playground: There is no playground here.
