Another great experience at Chernoff in Santa Rosa with the Dot Laser and PRP. Highly recommend the technicians, the staff and the procedure for sun damage, etc.

I never thought I would be reviewing a plastic surgeon, but I’m glad I found Dr. Chernoff’s practice and decided to email for a consult. As a young child, I developed about 15 moles of various size and pigment on my face. I did get the three most noticeable ones removed around 20 years ago, but that was legit surgery, with sutures and face bandages. It was not really feasible to remove any more moles at that time because of concerns about scarring. How things have changed for the better! When I went in for the initial consult with Dr. Chernoff, I noticed how friendly the staff is. The doctor himself is great, and he takes the time to explain the procedure, what to expect, and any possible side effects. I never felt like I was on the clock or being pressured to go through with anything. I have had two batches of mole removals done, and each one was straightforward and Dr. Chernoff explained what he would be doing along the way. The most uncomfortable part is the needle poke for the local anesthetic, but it’s easy from that point onwards. The laser does not hurt, and I did not feel any pain from the procedure itself. Recovery is pretty easy as well. I put bacitracin cream on each removal site until my follow up appointment a week later, following the post surgery instructions. Scabbing over is the enemy. Avoid the sun, scratching the affected areas, or letting them dry out, and you should end up with a great result like I did. To sum things up, Dr. Chernoff is definitely worth consulting if you have any sort of problem area. For a small and purely “cosmetic” procedure, this has improved my confidence and quality of life. And I can tell that Dr. Chernoff and his staff care about me feeling better, which is why I recommend his practice to friends and family and keep coming back myself.
