I have had ALCAL replace my garage doors and clean and replace my attic insulation. Rich and Tim came out to provide estimates for both projects and were very professional, and answered all of my questions. Their crews were on time, very polite, clean, and did great work. One of the insulated garage door panels was cracked and they coordinated with the manufacture to get it replaced. I also was extremely pleased with how well they cleaned out the attic in preparation for the new insulation-thanks Rafael, Dillon, and the rest of the team!
Attic job closed cell foam and paint cover complete. Perfect craftsmanship throughout. Looking forward to the crawl space having the rockwool installed when the product is available.
Alcal is the contractor we used to remove and replace existing ceiling insulation after the Kincaid fire. Andy bid the job and 2 teams came, one to remove the dirty insulation and one to install new insulation and upgrade the insulation by sealing all joints with foam and installing a radiant barrier to the upper cord of the attic, all green ideas to further insulate the attic. The team leader on the removal, Rafael, suggested we think about installing foam because our roof sloop is such that it would be very difficult to re-install batt insulation along the perimeter. The team leader on the second phase, Danny, suggested blowing the attic with batt insulation. These ideas from both Raphael and Danny helped us to come up with a solution for our particular issues, low slope at the edges of our attic, along with input from our electrician. So we laid down batt insulation in the field of the attic and blew in not foam but batt type insulation all along the perimeter thereby allowing future work in the attic to be safe for our contractors and giving us better insulation from the heat. I would recommend Alcal to everyone. Their crews were wonderful to work with and helped us make good decisions with better insulation than we had before.
