UCLA Health Santa Monica Urology is a renowned medical facility that provides exceptional urological care. Dr. Rajiv Jayadevan and Dr. Stephanie Pannell are highly skilled and compassionate professionals who excel in their field. Patients praise their clear diagnoses, effective treatments, and genuine concern for their well-being. The clinic's doctors are described as "world-class," with patients expressing complete trust in their medical expertise. However, the facility faces some administrative and logistical challenges, such as limited availability, difficulty booking appointments, and the inconvenience of having to see different doctors during follow-up visits. Additionally, the high cost of parking has been a source of frustration for some patients. Despite these issues, the clinic's exceptional medical care remains its primary strength.
Dr Rajiv Jayadevan is my Urologist at UCLA in Santa Monica. He is wonderful. He has put me at ease with my condition by clear and thorough diagnosis, and effective treatment and medication. Dr Raj is informal and relaxed to talk to, and I trust his medical skills completely. I am glad he is my doctor
There's no question that the doctors here are world class. They are.The issues with this clinic are more administrative/logistical. Should that matter as much? It shouldn't, but unfortunately it does.The first problem with this clinic is availability and scheduling. They are always booked FOR MONTHS IN ADVANCE. Good luck if you have an acute medical issue that requires immediate attention (like I did) they won't be able to see you until 4 months later and by then they won't be able to do anything (like they told me). It's ridiculous. Hire more doctors. It's absolutely ridiculous.Second, you never see the same doctor twice. It's always a different doctor, or a different fellow. May not sound like a big deal, but it can get uncomfortable having to re-discuss the same sensitive medical issue each time you come for a follow up visit. It would be nice if you could build a relationship and report with a doctor and stick with them.Last, and I know this sounds petty, is parking. Why do I have to pay $24 for parking to go to my doctor's appointment that I already have to pay hundreds of dollars for? Seriously?Great doctors. Poor almost everything else.
I can't say enough about how happy I am with both De Reiter and Dr Mills at UCLA. If you are diagnosed with Prostrate cancer (as I was). I highly recommend Dr. Reiter and Dr Mills. Dr Reiter for Radical prostatectomy and Dr Mills for making you whole again.It's too bad people give bad reviews because of a administrative person that never had a procedure by the doctor. It's like reviewing a restaurant with great food poorly because you didn't like the parking attendant. These doctors are WORLD class. Make no mistake about it.
