UCLA Health 15th Street Plaza Family Medicine & Internal Medicine

I just had the most frustrating time at this location. When I make appointments for an MRI with contrast, as I'm allergic to it, I ALWAYS tell the doctor that I have all the proper meds for my protocols and I also ask the doctor to write in the orders for them to use my port It's challenging enough to get outta the house for an appointment that I don't need to have anymore problems. 10AM appointment. Arrive on time. They say that they're not aware of my allergies and that I would have needed to take prednisone. Well I explained that I don't take prednisone because it makes me suicidal, however, I do take solumedrol, which I had already done. The radiologist said that wasn't ok, it had to be prednisone. And they weren't prepared to use my port. She stated that she couldn't see my history at another location. I offered to pull it up for her she refused. It's, in my opinion, ignorant to not want to see a past procedure that shows everything that I was telling her. Also, considering that I do have this disease, that I would never put myself in danger, which they were doing suggesting that I need to take prednisone. Which the above frustration caused a mast cell dump and this means, no MRI for my back or my continuing breathing challenges
