I moved my Brazilian Blowout clientele here to Santa Monica (from Marina Del Rey) and am so happy with Salon Republic! The salon is professional, clean, and well-managed, and the company is very supportive with ongoing education and industry connections. Happy stylists have have clients!

Kim Young, the owner of this salon, is UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, and HEARTLESS. Client asked for root touch up to blonde; ended up ruining her hair and turning her hair reddish-brown. Kim Young refused to fix her hair so as the client's right refused to pay for ruining her hair. The owner got upset, pulled the client's hair and called the police for refusing to pay for sh** services, and locked the client in the salon until midnight until client gave up and paid and was able to finally be let go out of the salon. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.

This review was long due! Jay Lee at Salon Republic suite 40 saved me from a bad hair experience and color corrected my hair to give me a softer look. She also did deep conditioning and my hair felt so grateful after that. She does have a lot of knowledge about hair, products and all kinds of treatments. Thanks.
