My OB referred me to Karen for pelvic floor therapy at Santa Maria Valley PT due to back and hip pain related to pregnancy. Karen took the time to provide education regarding pelvic floor and the benefits of strengthening it, including alleviating back and hip pain. I was surprised how many exercises and stretches there are; all of which were helpful. Karen also gave me tips for movement during labor to help with baby’s positioning and descent. The most helpful piece of advice was the updated recommendation of how to breathe while in the pushing stage of labor. I had a great experience at the Santa Maria Valley Physical Therapy Group from the entire staff. The front office receptionists, Jacky and Jenny, were very professional, friendly and easy to work with in getting appointments that met my schedule. Jared, the physical therapist that was assigned to me for my knee injury, was excellent. He was very conscientious, caring, attentive and patient during my treatment sessions. The therapy activities that he had me perform were very helpful in reducing the swelling and strengthening my knee. Within a few sessions of therapy, my knee was starting the healing process. The physical therapist aids, Christy, Andrea and Tryna were also very professional, compassionate and patient. They were all genuinely concerned about helping me recover from my knee injury. I highly recommend the Santa Maria Valley Physical Therapy Group for all your physical therapy needs. I can testify that anyone who needs physical therapy will not be disappointed in choosing them. The day I walked into this office I was limping and at my highest weight. With the help of Dr. Blackburn, Dr. Paul and the nurses over at Santa Maria Valley Physical Therapy, I can now get back to work and on with my life! If you are looking for a great environment to do your inner/outer healing call this place!!! The young lady at the front desk Jenny is so sweet and patient.
