Planet Fitness offers a welcoming environment with great staff and a clean gym. The fitness center provides a variety of machines and options, making it a good place for exercise. Many members appreciate the cleanliness, noting that employees are always seen cleaning the machines and facilities, including bathrooms, spa areas, and the lobby. The machines are cleaned daily, and most members wipe down equipment before and after use. The Black Card Guests area is modern, featuring total body enhancement, standing tanning beds, aqua beds, and more. Although the location is not in the best area, it is cleaner and more pleasant than many other gyms. Some members mention feeling uncomfortable due to the presence of homeless individuals and drug addicts who have memberships, and there have been incidents of stolen belongings in the locker room. Despite these concerns, many still enjoy the overall gym experience and the benefits of Big Fitness Energy™. Notably, the staff, including friendly employees like Richie, help create a positive and supportive environment for members. However, the gym does not offer classes like Zumba or pirates, as it focuses mainly on workout equipment. Overall, this Planet Fitness is a clean, modern gym with attentive staff and a positive atmosphere.
I think it was time to them a great review. I left another gym that I went to for years and I left because it needed attention on everything. I decided to join Planet Fittness because I went to one in Florida and noticed how clean it was. I then decided to join the one in Santa Maria because it was also very clean. I have since visited several Planet Fittness in different cities that I travel to. All of them are immaculate. The staff are constantly cleaning everything including all the bathrooms, spa areas and the lobby. The machines are cleaned daily and most not all members wipe down the equipment before and after using them. The only thing they dont offer is classes. No zumba, pirates, etc. Its just a gym. If you are looking for a clean gym. This is one to consider.
This Planet Fitness seems to be a decent one. The Black Card Guests area is pretty modern, with the total body enhancement, standing tanning beds, aqua beds, and more. The staff at the front desk were nice and welcoming when I arrived. The location is not the best area, but I've certainly seen worse PF locations throughout the country. Overall, I would say this was a shockingly pleasant gym!
I've been going to Planet Fitness in Santa Maria for a while now, and I just want to give a special shoutout to one of the employees--Richie. Every time I come in, he greets me with a smile and even calls me by my name, which might seem like a small thing, but it really makes a difference. He makes the place feel welcoming and comfortable, like I actually belong there. In a gym setting, where it's easy to feel out of place or overlooked, that kind of friendliness and consistency means a lot. Richie, thank you for creating such a positive and supportive environment. Planet Fitness is lucky to have you!
