“We recently completed a full kitchen and bar remodel, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Mike Leiderman did an excellent job laying out the entire project and walking us through every detail before any work began. He made sure we were completely comfortable with the design and set clear expectations--especially since this was a challenging project involving framing, electrical, flooring, plumbing, and drywall.

Throughout the remodel, Jacob Sofer was exceptional with communication. He kept me informed every day about who would be coming and what work was scheduled, so I always knew exactly what was happening. “I contracted with Horizon Construction & Remodeling to remodel my kitchen, which included all new cabinetry, countertops, backsplash, appliance installation, and lighting, plumbing, and electrical upgrades. Horizon also replaced cabinets in the dining room, removed blinds, and patched and painted several rooms. David was our project manager.

I highly recommend working with both Horizon and David. He provided an accurate estimate for the work, started and completed the work on time, and was always pleasant and responsive when I had questions. It was my first experience with a kitchen remodel and David proved to be patient and kind, never making me feel like my questions were silly or naive. He responded to all of my texts promptly and delivered on every one of my requests.

The craftsmen employed by Horizon were professional and skilled. They did a fantastic job, and cleaned up as they went along. Horizon also operates a showroom in Fullerton, so I was able to see options in situ, not just small samples. David and everyone I met in the showroom were knowledgeable and friendly. They listened to me, made a real effort to understand my aesthetic, and then made great suggestions.

The entire process from beginning to end (3 months to the day) went just about as smooth as one could hope for such a large project. When it comes time to remodel our bathrooms, I will be calling Horizon again!“

“I'm basically banned from pinterest because I get obsessed, but since June I've been dying to resurface my patio. It wasn't in bad shape but I wanted something more aesthetic, more 2025 you know. I went down a rabbit hole with AI and basically became an expert on flooring materials. When I requested the estimate with Expert Home Builders I already knew exactly what I wanted and with what materials, I felt so fabulous explaining to them why I wanted epoxy instead of poly. They also advised me on some things I didn't know like the ideal thickness and color options that would work better with the sun that hits there. We finally went with a light gray epoxy with decorative flakes that give it texture without being too much. They also installed a screen enclosure around the whole patio so we could use it without dealing with mosquitos or all the dust getting in. The epoxy needed several days to cure completely before we could walk on it. I've put it to the test already and I'm still in love, it was a really good experiance.“

“MTZ Contractors have just finished doing a series of home renovation projects for me. Their work was outstanding. MTZ Contractors did remodel work on my two bathrooms and my kitchen. Each project exceeded my expectations. My bathrooms were in desperate need of work which included repairing the floors after the demolition phase revealed serious water damage. The bathrooms were re-tiled and new cabinets and fixtures were installed to provide me with beautiful and more functional bathrooms.

My kitchen required substantial work to bring it up to current code compliance by adding additional electrical breakers for my kitchen appliances. Again, there was a need to repair and replace sections of the kitchen floor. The installation of the cabinets, countertops and the tile floor turned out beautiful and made the kitchen far more functional.

What was so impressive about MTZ Contractors was the skill and expertise of the team members. Whether it was the electrical panel updates, countertop installation, tile setting, or the plumbing work, each team member did an excellent job on their specific tasks. Their performance made the overall project go smoothly. In particular, Gilberto, the MTZ primary worker was always conscientious and professional. My “new” kitchen is almost too “beautiful ”to use.

The best thing about MTZ Contractors Is General Contractor Tony Martinez. Tony was so good at also identifying those things about my older house that needed to be upgraded. He gave us referrals for our roofing project and furnace replacement. He was able to troubleshoot problems that we were having unrelated to the remodel work and addressed those issues as well. Tony has an aesthetic and perfectionist eye. The work he did as he directed his crews was exceptional. Little things like changing door knobs, handles and brackets to match the color of the new fixtures provided a uniform pallet for our bathrooms and kitchen.

I highly recommend MTZ Contractors for any construction and/or remodel work. I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and the improvement on quality of my home.“
