I've been coming to this place for years. They do everything hair. This two women wrecking crew know what they're doing and even things you didn't know you wanted (?!) They're are efficient, no nonsense, by appointments only. Very reasonably priced. Establishment is classic set up, extremely clean.

I showed a picture and in the end it looked just like it! She was quick but took time to keep double checking after drying my hair and making adjustments, which I haven't experienced from other salons as much. I appreciated that the appointment was about 30 mins.

This is my go-to hair stylist for probably the last 5 years (I've lost count) at least! Ms Kang Ok Lan is super talented and knows my thick, frizzy, coarse Asian hair so well that I never need blow drying even with a layered cut. I've had digital perms and no matter what I get done here (cut, styled, perm), I received compliments without fail. I would not go to somewhere else even when I'm in Asia where the services are much cheaper. Past reviewers are right to mentioned that she values punctuality as her schedule is jam packed. That said, I had been 5 mins late and apologized the second I enter the salon with no problem at all. I respect her take on punctuality and wished doctors/dentists would keep to the appointment time like she does. Note about her and her assistant not smiling, I do not have that issue even though I am not Korean and do not speak Korean. She understands me just fine and would even crack jokes since the first time we met. I do tip reasonably well and not short change them like some Asians do. She works speedily, so some may feel like they didn't get their money's worth. It's about the quality of the cut and not the amount of time spent. She styles my hair if I have a dinner out with friends that day without extra charges. In addition, her cut holds up well months later. My only fear is when I move out of town, the challenge is to find someone who will measure up or come even close, especially at the same $$ rate.
