The Santa Ana VA Clinic has been an outstanding experience every time. The staff are friendly and super helpful. All of the doctors work very hard to provide great care. I am grateful to have such great people provide such fantastic medical care.

I use the optical (eye care) dept to have my eye exams done. The exams are very through, and the optometrists are very knowledgeable and helpful. If one needs an ophthalmologist appointment, then from my understanding, the Long Beach Hospital/clinic has them available. They also are excellent! For some exams, I was informed at the Santa Ana office that they can perform the same visual inspection that the ophthalmologist in Long Beach performed. I have gone to a private ophthalmologist in the past, and I found that the VA SA Clinic has excellent staff every time I have scheduled an eye exam. I went at a time that I was the 2nd Client, usually they have you check in the front at the main clinic so it would be best to show up 15 min early (minimum), I was taken care of pretty quickly.It's a hit or miss when it comes to service, I usually get the same Optometrist, she is pleasant to interact with. And sometimes there are people that do not know how to filter their emotions and it projects on their behavior.Fortunately, on 21SEP23, that was a great experience for me. I hope that it continues to be that way.
