As a long time customer, I was incredibly disappointed with my most recent experience here with a stylist by the name of Josehp

I came in with my hair at my hips and came out with it barely below my chest. I asked for a 4-inch TRIM and he kept pushing for 5-inches. I said I was uncomfortable with that (more than once) and wanted to keep my hair long. He laughed at my comments/acted like it was a joke and ultimately decided to do whatever he wanted. Josehp disregarded all of my concerns during my appointment when I was saying it looked like he was cutting too much/it looked too short. He laughed and dismissed me MULTIPLE times. It was stress inducing and one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a hair dresser especially as someone who is attached to their hair.

I now have to wait a year+ for my hair to grow out. The layers are awful. My beautiful long hair I came in with is RUINED. And I’m traumatized from this experience. This was avoidable and he simply did not care about me as a client or my feelings as person. Even when I was paying, he kept trying to justify the length by saying it still looked long and beautiful after massacring my hair and not following a single thing I asked for. He never took accountability, was incredibly unprofessional, only apologized after he got in trouble, and even asked me not to complain to his boss.

I called back later that day and unfortunately had the displeasure of speaking with him again. He wouldn't let me speak to the owner or manager and when he tried getting my information for a refund, the phone cut off. I was suspicious after immediately calling back with no answer. It wasn't until I called back for the 5th or 6th time that he picked up again. I'm not sure if it was a technical issue but it seemed off to me (but take it how you will). I ended up getting a refund = I basically had someone mess up my hair for FREE. Amazing.

Would not recommend this stylist and probably won't go back to the salon in general because the experience was THAT negative for me.

This review is for Heidi. This is my second time doing highlights with her. I should have known better after the first time but after 3 months, the color stayed so well, I figured why not give it a second chance. Better to work with someone who already knows the work that was done than risk it with a new stylist. I should have listened to my gut the first time. As a stylist your job isn't to just do a good job, it's to work WITH your client not AGAINST them. She pushed back on every suggestion I had. The first time she left my roots brass and orange and swore up and down it looked good. I literally went to the store and complained to get her to fix it. She was cranky.. did it and it turned out pretty good. Roots were corrected, even tho it looked nothing like what I wanted. The work itself was tolerable. (I'm not a difficult person). I paid and generously tipped both times. 3 months later. Here I am. I came in under the impression she would lighten the rest of my dark hair ( roots and all).. as I had messaged her on ig. 5 mins in. I asked her why she wasn't lightening the rest of what was grown out roots from the previous bleach. She gave me a lot of explanation with no sense behind it. My goal was eventually be full blonde. I figured ok. I can't keep arguing with her. She won't budge. Anyways. Long story short. The pictures speak for itself. Roots are horrid. Parts of it is brass, not blended AT ALL. I booked with another person and will have to pay again to color correct. I paid her 500$ and should have gotten her full attention and focus. She was working on someone else (probably a cut and blow out) just to screw up my hair and lose my business. Very greedy and unprofessional. If I could save one person from making the mistake I made, my goal is accomplished. As a professional stylist and artist.. you can't tell me this is work you're proud of. BAFFLING. Why didn't I complain while I was there? EVERYTIME I did say something, she'd have an "explanation" explaining she knew what she was doing. The gaslight was real. Look for yourself . PS. Her and her assistant were talking crap about how my hair is so long and that's why it's so tangly after the bleach then proceeded to brush me like a horse and ruined all my hair. I lost so much it's depressing. PSS my hair was virgin when I came in. She kept telling me it had dye. Why would I need to lie to you so my hair would turn out like doodoo???

All you need to know: Book with JOHN :) My sister has been raving about John ever since she got her hair cut by him a few years ago. I finally booked an appointment with him for a new look for Lunar New Year 2024. I decided to finally chop off my long locks that I've had since I was a teenager. During the consult, he made sure that I actually wanted to do this and warned me that it's going to be a huge change which I acknowledged and said I was ready for. I greatly appreciated that he gave me the chance to change my mind and took the time to show me different lengths before cutting it while looking at my inspo photos and giving his thoughts on what would look best for my current hair (I had side swept bangs that were shorter than the inspos) & that it would be better to not cut it so short the first time cause he can always cut off more but he can't put it back. I liked how he went into detail of his cut and what he plans to do. For example he said although my bangs weren't long enough to mimic the inspo, he would still cut and layer them just a bit to complement the cut. He made the first chop so fun! He let me hold it to say bye so I could take a pic & he was just as excited for me as I was when I saw that I actually loved my hair already just from that first chop! His energy was so sweet and it felt so nice that someone else was excited for this change. After the initial chop, he packed my hair away so I could donate it & another lady led me to wash my hair which was fantastic. Afterwards both of them dried my hair together and he went on to work his magic. I absolutely loved my hair! John was so positive and encouraging to say how much it suited me and never rushed me to leave my seat or the salon and allowed me to take photos and enjoy the moment. After 3 months from that appointment (2/6/24), I wanted to go shorter :) plus, the length it had grown to made it quite difficult to style how I wanted & to make it last all day (flipped inward) so I wanted to cut it shorter so that it would grow to the length I preferred when I travel to Europe this summer. This experience was even better than the last time! We were all so elated with how cute the shorter hair turned out! Even the kind lady who washed my hair came and said it was so cute and how short hair looks so good on me before she helped John with drying my hair. John was very meticulous with this cut. I could tell he did a lot more layering and even after his first styling, he'd notice some areas needed to be cut or shaved etc to be even and would stop and fix them. The way he dried my hair as well was helpful to see, a great technique. I couldn't believe how happy one hair salon appointment could make me! Another great thing about John's haircuts is that it grows back beautifully! And he cuts it in a way that I'm able to style it myself however I'd like. The hair growing back so nicely is really hard to find in a hairdresser. My hair was still so pretty before I went even shorter. Nothing was in an awkward stage or not flowing well so I really could've just kept it at that and been happy. Pricing: My first cut from long to short was $35. My second cut to shorter hair with much more layering and shaving my baby hair off and then more layering was $45 which is a great price for all of the work he did including the styling afterwards too. 10/10 experience with John & I'm a forever customer. Thank you John for being the best!

I always get compliments on my hair even on the worst of days….thanks to my hairstylist John. He knows my hair well and will give me honest opinions on what to do. The cut and highlights that he gives me are always fresh, lightweight, and hides my greys well.

I really was in need for a haircut before the new year and saw good reviews so I wanted to try it out and let me say I was not disappointed! I called for a walk in hair cut and they made me an appointment within the hour! When I walked in I was greeted and was sat with Linda immediately. Linda was AMAZING, she talked to me about the haircut I wanted, I showed her some inspo pictures and she gave her own suggestions and started instantly. She was very easy to talk to and consistently making sure I was happy with how she was cutting/styling my hair. It went by very quick and I was obsessed with how my haircut turned out, it was exactly what I wanted and even better than I expected. The price was very reasonable and I will definitely be coming back and would definitely recommend to anyone to come here.
