I have had two major incidents recently that prove our local clinic only cares about charging your insurance, money money money, yet zero care given leading us to after paying a co pay and after paying for useless prescriptions we waisted time and money just to end up going to the er (about an hours drive away๐คฌ๐คฌ๐คฌ) the mountain clinic just keeps getting worse and worse I will be filing today a formal complaint with the California medical board!!!!!! What a disgrace!

We are French and were on holiday in julian at the beginning of september. Visiting our cousins.
With my son, during a hike in the hills, we were stung by wasps.
We started to have allergic skin reactions. I was really worry about that. We went to the clinic in julian, and there was a member of staff, with a good analysis of our problem, she recommended antihistamines. She even accompanied us to the grocery store on the main street to be sure that we bought the right medicine. I do not know the name of this woman, but i want to thank her warmly.

I am sorry to say that I cannot give a more positive review. I enjoy giving a good review for a business or agency when it is warranted and deserved. We all know that healthcare is a challenging business, but the cosequences of not being able to access quality care for a patient may be dire. In our situation, the consequence of not being able to depend on any department for good care and service caused us to lose our home. We repeatedly had great difficulty calling to have a simmple question answered. We were often promised services that could not be provided. Whether we were seeking care at home or care in the office or care as inpatients, we had to endure constant put-offs or delays or run arounds. As well, there seemed to be no number or department with which we could communicate about our difficulties. Our doctor could be helpful at times, but his staff in the offices seemed to let him and us down constantly. With great sadness, we must leave not only this healthcare provider but we also now must leave friends, family, and a place we once called home. We now have to risk our lives with little or no good care as we move to a distant place to restart. We risk the move, because we have to, and because we care about each other more than we were cared for in this county. We don't believe that labelling people and then pretending that false labels explain is a proper activity for County Government or any healthcare agency. I know that there is better healthcare in this world, because I have experienced it and benefitted. Don't accept poor care. Seek an alternative provider and take best care of yourself at home. It is your duty to do so and I wish you well.

I only go there because they're close but overall I did not feel the doctor spend enough time with you
I have been misdiagnosed on two occasions once I went there and I had septic pneumonia I saw an old doctor that worked there who did not really have very good English speaking skills he pushed it on my report that was suffering from mental anxiety or some form of a psychosis
I returned 4 days later sicker than before seen a different doctor and I was sent to the hospital by ambulance I spent three weeks in the hospital for a septic pneumonia
another time I was infected with scabies my skin was itching and felt like it was on fire I seen a nurse professional thinking that she was a doctor refuse to get close to me to see what I was telling her what was itching and stretching and she puts down on my paper that it was basically a form of parasite psychosis and send me to see a psychiatrist who also did not want to take a look at what I was complaining about
for 4 months I suffered and finally I seen another doctor who gave me a prescription for some cream
well this could go on and on but if you can find another doctor
or clinic I don't think it would be worse

Their customer service is unacceptable. I have a refillable prescription that ran out 3 weeks ago.
It needs prior authorization to be refilled, and although the Doctor already prescribed it, I have to make another appointment to be seen...yet no appointments are available for another 2 weeks. So, I have to go a month and a half without the medication.(at best)
You cannot contact anyone at their clinics by phone...their system is designed to discourage that.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
There's a reason Yelp gives San Ysidro Health just a 1.5 star rating.
If you can, go anywhere else...to a witch doctor if necessary.
Don't use SYH...
edit: it is now 4/23/24. I had a consultation with a different doctor who assured me my prescription would be authorized by the afternoon of 4/15/24. It STILL hasn't been authorized.

I became very ill during a visit to my daughter and sister in San Diego, California recently. We visited the urgent care clinic in Chula Vista for treatment. I was treated by Dr Pooga Menon on March 19th of 2024. I cannot say enough about the overall experience. I was treated with respect, professionalism, and thorough care from beginning to end from everyone. I am especially thankful to Dr Menon who I believe is one of the most compassionate, thorough, professional, warm, genuine, health care providers and human beings I have encountered in my experiences in any clinic, hospital settings! she is an asset to your institution. She even called me long distance multiple times to check on my progress! Thank you Dr Menon and thank you all for your much appreciated service!

I've been with the Escondido location for about three years and I really never had a problem and I really have a great doctor but today I tried to reschedule an appointment, I was 232 in cue so it took me TWO HOURS by ROBOTEXT. I think the problem with our borders is putting a SEVERE STRAIN on the services WE American's deserve. Although the name of the group "San Ysidro" say's it all. Lucky for me, I am moving out of this disaster they call California for another state where you don't have to push a number for English. Thanks President Elmer Fudd and Gavin "twosome" Newsom.
