BMH general contracting is ran by Bill McLean and Bob. I believe Bill said that he’s been in business for 35 plus years. I have been a Painting Subcontractor for 21 years. Bill hired me for a job out in the Southbay. Beautiful area! In this unit I will be here resurfacing cabinetry, priming and painting tongue and groove ceiling, Ceiling, walls and trim. For this job all materials are provided and if not provided I will be reimbursed. When going through supplies with Bill I explain to them we do not have the proper materials for the cabinetry. Now I told him the necessary primer and topcoat paint that is required for this kind of project. In this day and age we have specific products for every job. not only to ensure that they’re easier to apply but the longevity of the product will be sustainable. Also using an eggshell finish as a top coat on cabinets will eventually cause horrible issues. As soon as it becomes humid out this will cause painted surfaces to adhere to the subsurface causing damage. This is because eggshells are not a hardened finish. Eggshells will do well with the oil from are hands. Definitely not a high contact paint. I refused to use what was provided and was told to leave. Sorry Bill but I wouldn’t do what you asked to a enemy. People work very hard for what they have. I can’t work with or for someone who don’t share a similar point of view on morels, integrity and pride. Like I said earlier. I was promised any equipment that was Utilize out of my stock would be reimbursed at the end. Bill failed to keep his word and reimburse me for my tools that I used. Along with that I was shorted time out of my hours. Pretty sad that people I have no problem lying. Especially when someone’s trying to help them. Lots of great contractors and painters out there. Good luck
