They market "walk-ins welcome" but the wait is unreasonably long for a pedicure. I waited for an hour on a Sunday afternoon, they were seriously understaffed with only 3 manicurists. Finally received a shortened version of the lavender pedicure for $60 (smells like fabric softener!) Now another hour has passed & I realize she only put on 1 coat of color & it still wasn't dry! I do believe their nail polish is old. This would explain why it's not drying & has little shine :( I requested another coat. They were nice enough, considering it took 2 hours, but not great & not worth the price. There are many other & better nail salons to choose from.
This nail spa has been around for a long time and I can understand why the customers seem be loyal regulars. I just got my first post COVID mani-pedi (yes in 2025!) and decided to visit my old nail spa I used to visit regularly. Great to see the same team is still here and had an excellent mani-pedi for a reasonable $70 total price, despite massive inflation in the last few years. I noticed they don't offer drinks or snacks anymore but that's ok, I'll bring my own! My nail tech was very good and got the job done. They still have great massage chairs that have held up and still knead away. Vibe is neighborhood chill and friendly. Lots of walk-in's they accommodated soon after arrival and it was clear they were happy regulars who had visited before. There are a lot of nail shops on this block so plenty of options - some much newer and fancier, offering mimosas - but I'm pretty happy with this salons reasonable prices that get the job done. I'd also say they do the best job on callous removal/prevention as well. I always walk away with baby soft feet - and adorably painted toes!
Love this place! Went here for the first time today since my regular place was closed and it seems like tranquil will be my new regular salon! The staff were so nice and made great conversation and really wanted to do everything in their power to make sure you love your nails. My nails came out great and were super reasonable(cheaper than most places in the bay area). Definitely give them a try!
