We signed up for wedding dance lessons with Rob and he helped us craft a beautiful routine that incorporated all the elements my fiance desired including the viennese waltz. My fiance came in with a strong dance background and i came in with none, and rob was able to patiently coach me through everything until I was able to get things just right. His positive attitude and ability to break things down into simple steps were super helpful. Recommend him to everyone!!
I've been coming to Fred Astaire San Mateo for ballroom private lessons, classes, and rounds for several years, and the quality of instruction is unmatched. The teachers, students, and staff take excellent care of the space, and promote a warm, respectful atmosphere for everyone. I always mention FASM to friends and family looking for ballroom instruction, and everyone who's come in have had lovely experiences. 10/10 highly recommend!
The teachers here are very friendly and fun while also being really great dancers. The studio itself is very open and airy with a fabulous floor and excellent sound system. For me this is the best place for dance classes in the San Mateo area.
