First Choice Tree Service, Gerardo, is very knowledgeable about many varieties of trees and the proper trimming techniques for each. With the overall health of my trees in mind, they sterilize their tools and trim the trees in accordance with best practices. Over the years, First Choice has also removed old, overgrown trees including 60 foot Palm trees, Liquid Ambers, and Fica trees including stump removal for all. His crews operate in a professional manner with care for the safety of persons and property. Their work has always enhanced the beauty of my yard.

I called Gerardo at First Choice a week ago because our newly planted Kentia palm tree was looking bad and we were worried it was dying. Gerardo spoke with me on the phone a few times and requested some pictures. He discussed the situation with his brother, who is a certified arborist. I was impressed with how readily available and responsive Gerardo was. A few days later, Gerardo and his brother came by my house yesterday and examined the tree and take some some soil samples to check for root rot etc. They explained that while the palm tree indeed looked bad, it was suffering shock from the planting process (from me: never let a landscaper plant a palm tree in August!)...read full review
