I have been using the SLO VA for over a year now and have had nothing but OUTSTANDING service, ALL the staff have treated me well. I feel that the VA care is superior compared to the outside public medical care in reference to appointment schedualing, reminders and proptness. I have only used a couple doctors and nurses and they are spot on. I will continue to use the VA services.
I've noticed quite a few negative reviews, so felt I should write about my experience. I've only started using the VA in the last 2 years because I had private insurance before. It's so hard to get a private doctor in this area that I went the VA route this time. I have had MUCH better care from the SLO VA clinic than almost any other doctor I've been to! Dr. Naik and her team are fantastic. I use the VA app to send messages and always get a response within an hour or two. I have had 3 primary care DRs,N.P’s.: Shaw ,Lackland & Niek.I’ve have always received great care from all of them.The Clinic is Great!!??The Call center out of Los Ángeles could be better .Except ,I do understand there are many Veterans !
