My Whippet/Pit mix is a sweet and responsive girl. With her desire to please me, we did great together with positive reinforcement training, however everything literally went out the door as soon as she knew she was going outside. Her prey drive is off the charts and was unmanageable on walks - to the point of being dangerous for both her and me. I contacted Mark to work with us to manage her prey drive, even with my initial reluctance to use an e-collar. We discussed his methods at length and he let me experience the e-collar for myself. After a week of working with Mark, I now have new capabilities to walk and go on adventures with my dog safety - and we can enjoy ourselves. Now that Mark has worked with her, the rest is up to me to maintain what she has learned. This ended up being a successful way to go, given her challenges. And I'm grateful. One thing that impressed me right away about Mark is that he took the first day with my dog to orient her to her new environment and spent time bonding with her. Each day of her training, he sent videos of where he took her, what training he was engaged in with her and how she was doing - multiple times a day, keeping me informed. Any questions I had, he responded to immediately. Finally, I was given training on the techniques and tools so I am able to maintain and continue her training. She has responded very well to Mark and his training process! In fact, I think she fell in love with him :-) I have no hesitations to continue working with Mark if any further support is needed.
Mark is not only an excellent trainer, but someone with a true love for the dogs he works with. My 4 month old Aussie stayed with him for two sessions, and she has grown into the perfect companion. She had some issues because of lack of socialization, and fear of people, and Mark and his wife both went above and beyond to help her past her anxieties. Getting daily videos of the process was just amazing, and made me feel so good about her training, as it was clear that she was truly enjoying every minute. While the training may seem expensive, if your dog is going to be your lifelong companion, it is the best investment you can make. A well behaved, responsive and secure pet is worth more than words can say. Dognpooch really can make that happen, even for dogs with issues. I highly recommend Mark to anyone looking for and excellent, experienced and caring trainer who really delivers fabulous results. Your pet will thank you!
Mark was able to train our 6 month old Bloodhound in ONE week. Hounds are known for being stubborn and only following their nose....well, he THRIVED during training and continues to do so. He goes for hikes in the hills and at the ranch off-leash and sits/stays where told. Daily videos and tutorials prepped our family for his return home. It's as if we have a whole new pup! Mark really does work miracles!
