First off I have to note that I haven't seen any gynecologists in this office although I hear they're wonderful....when you *actually* get in to see them. I'm becoming more and more frustrated with this office. Made an appointment in February of 2024 for an annual Pap smear etc... understandably they were making appointments several months out (mine was in August). August comes around and it gets cancelled rescheduled for September, no big deal. September comes around and it gets cancelled *again*. Rescheduled for October- cancelled. Rescheduled again to November....cancelled. I am now scheduled for TWO appointments in December because they can't do IUD removal/replacement during annuals (huh?!). Also the office staff seem completely unbothered by having to reschedule you. I have also repeatedly told them my IUD expires in December and again there's no real emotional response from the scheduling. I don't know why they say they're accepting new patients if they have to keep rescheduling appointments 3+ times. I don't know what is going on but it's incredibly frustrating. If they cancel again (which who wants to bet that they do?) I'm just going to go to Planned Parenthood or my GP.

My appointment was twice rescheduled (for understandable reasons) and each time I spoke with the office staff I confirmed what the appointment was for. When I arrived for my appointment, both the front desk employee and the nurse were surprised when I told them what my appointment was for. They both said I might not be able to have it done for insurance pre-authorization reasons. Thankfully, we were able to move forward, however, both the nurse and the midwife I saw (Michelle Karpin) were pushy about my future birth control plans. I told them I did not want any form of long term BC, and I felt pushback from both of them. Michelle responded very unprofessionally and condescendingly when I told her of my future plans to have another child. I felt like leaving the office right then as I did not feel safe having her perform a vulnerable procedure when she couldn't even offer me basic respect as a patient. This was my first time meeting her and she acted like she knew everything about my medical history. Multiple aspects of this appointment were frustrating and disappointing, and when I do decide to have another child, I will absolutely not be returning to this office. Women deserve respect and care with the most intimate aspects of our bodies.

I attended an appointment as a support/patient advocate for my best friend (for an extremely time sensitive and serious appointment). We witnessed 1 patient arrive 15minutes before her appointment only to be told, at check in, that her appointment had been rescheduled. She'd received no phone call or anything notifying her and she'd driven 40min with her newborn. This was a day in March...they'd rescheduled her appointment to June without even checking if it worked for her. As she left, a second patient in the waiting room indicated the same thing happened to her only days before. When my friend was finally called back, after filling out paperwork totally not applicable to her appointment, Dr Sungurlu came in with a very poor bedside manner and acted exasperated and put out. She gave bits of information in sentence fragments. She performed the exam without checking with my friend about her preferences regarding watching the exam, seeing results, receiving images, etc. When I asked a question to clarify what we'd been told, she acted irritated, avoided eye contact, and answered with a response that indicated she'd clearly not listed to my question. After I again asked the question, she indicated that she wouldn't be able to give us a definitive answer for another 2-3 weeks with an additional exam. She left the room and came back later indicating she'd requested the exam to be done in 4 days (not the previously indicated 2-3 weeks). My friend left feeling more confused than when she'd arrived, on top of being poorly treated. I recommend you look elsewhere for care. I'm a pretty allowing and understanding person and have been in many medical offices, hospitals, etc and have never felt so offended or frustrated by a doctor.
