From K9 Sniffers
At K9Sniffers we run Nose Work for dogs classes. We train pet dogs to search and find odors that are used in the competitive sport of Nosework. We train for NACSW K9 Nose Work, AKC Scent Work and UKC Nosework Competitions. We also take students who just want to do something fun with their dogs. Classes are held at the San Lorenzo Dog Training Club in San Leandro.
Classes are taught by Steve Bettcher, IACP Certified Dog Trainer and Certified Nosework Instructor. Steve has been training Nosework since 2012 and has been competing with his Beagle, Buddy. Buddy has his NW3 Elite Title, AKC Excellent Scent Work Title and SDS Excellent Title.
Steve will also travel to do private lessons in the East Bay Area or at SLDTC.
Currently taking classes at K9 Sniffers in San Leandro. Steve B (the trainer) is great, and more importantly patient with my sometimes overly active dog.The class has helped my dog become calmer and less anxious. Dogs really enjoy this activity which requires the use of their bodies and there minds. Any breed of dog can participate. Awesome class.
I have known Steve Bettcher for years and used him to train my wild and out of control dog when he was at the Dog Squad. I was looking for something different to do with my dog and found out that Steve was teaching Nosework and immediately enrolled my dog in his class. I can't say enough positive things about the class. My dog loves coming each week and so do I. My dog Max loves searching for odor and is getting quite good at. Really recommend Steve's Classes for any dog.
