AMFM Mental Health is our go-to referral program for clients in need of inpatient mental health treatment. There are very limited high-quality programs providing this level of care, and AMFM is hands down one of the best mental health programs in Orange County.

As a provider ourselves, we truly appreciate their professionalism, communication, and ability to collaborate with our team. We have confidence referring clients to AMFM and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality inpatient mental health care.

I went here about a year ago for some mental health struggles and excessive cannabis and social media use, which was the worst mistake of my life. When I went in they immediately diagnosed me with severe cannabis, stimulant and alcohol use disorders and major depressive disorder, despite me specifically saying I was paying out of pocket and wasn’t seeking any diagnoses, which ruined my aspirations to become an aircraft mechanic as all of those are instant disqualifiers for an FAA medical. I also have severe ADHD and they took me off my meds “cuz they’re addictive and you can’t have them in rehab” and I literally couldn’t pick my room up or filter myself at all. They let me develop a pack a day habit as ineffective self medication though, cuz cigarettes are so totally not addictive or harmful. Chef Monica’s cooking was always overcooked and rubbery and barely edible, and we were always out of breakfast and snacks halfway through the week. Then I got strep and they wouldn’t take me to see a doctor for over a week, and when I finally went in after a night where my throat swelled up so bad I woke up at 1am thinking I was gonna die, they refused to let me start my antibiotics cuz they needed their doctor who was AWOL for 3 days to approve it. Then they pressured my parents into not letting me come home unless I went to their step down program, where my therapist barely met with me and when she did, it was just to hand me write-ups over the ADHD symptoms they refused to treat despite me trying so hard to keep my mouth shut and stay off my phone and stuff. Then another patient was given free range to bully me and tease me 24/7, yet when he verbally and physically assaulted me and I defended myself and put him back in his place, I was promptly kicked out. Some of the people on the ground like Chris and Sam and my initial therapist Jacob were awesome and truly cared but overall this place is nothing but an insurance scam run by lazy incompetent crooks, and I’d recommend you or your loved one go literally anywhere else.

This program has changed my life. The staff is a wonderful team of professionals who have helped me grow through my lowest of times. I will be forever thankful for the help AMFM has provided me and the skills my therapist and CC’s have taught me.

This place has been amazing. The residential was so nice. The people were so amazing and they helped me through everything in residential gold. Bush was amazing and getting the treatment that I needed and just beautiful out here in California and just it’s good to be somewhere else where you need to find yourself and help yourself be at that moment so I wanted to give this place five stars and about to give Mission connection five stars too so yeah but thank you for what you have done for me and thank you very much

The AMFM residential in patient mental health facility is helping my brother so much. He’s been to probably 13 places and this one has had the best impact. I couldn’t be more thankful for the care he’s had while there. He is genuinely happy in his recovery which is all we’ve ever wanted. The house has amazing food for their patients at all times, great staff, and comfortable atmosphere. They’re allowed to cook and use the phone a lot. I can definitely recommend this place to anyone considering. ❤️

I spent about four weeks at AMFM Mental Health Treatment Center, and overall, it was a really positive experience. What truly made my stay meaningful was the group of guys I was there with—we built a strong sense of support and connection that made a big difference in my recovery.

The staff also played a major role. The therapist I worked with was highly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about her work, which made it easier to engage and grow during sessions. The swing shift CCs were also great—approachable, supportive, and easy to talk to.

One standout aspect was the private chef. The meals were consistently excellent and added a level of comfort that made the environment feel more like home.

Overall, it was a solid experience, and I’m grateful for the time I spent there and the people I met along the way.

I called AMFM looking for help and care for my loved one. Morgan immediately worked on getting answers to all of my questions and helped me figure out the best option for our needs. She is caring, attentive and empathetic and I'm so grateful she was on the other side of that first phone call. Thank you Morgan!

I went to AMFM December 24th to the trauma house. From the moment i got there it felt like something was off. I had a really hard time since it was Christmas the first day I was there. I had a breakdown in my room alone and was sobbing. Not one CC checked in on me. ( even though they are suppose to check on clients in their rooms every 15 minutes.) They had new CC's come in and were clearly not trained to deal with women with trauma. Psych providers never listened to my needs. Therapist barely kept my Mom in the loop and when she would update my mom, my Mom felt like she would rush her off the phone. The Case manager never once called my Mom. I had to go the ER for some previous leg issues and the CC drove me. I specifically told this CC to please not tell the doctor i was in a mental health treatment since it had nothing to do with my leg. First thing she does it tell the doctor i was in a mental health treatment. Thats a HIPPA violation. I also saw another client who had a breakdown,
collapse in the backyard and not one single staff member checked on her including the therapist. Please do not send your loved one here as i personally saw it do more harm then good to the clients that were there with me. Three clients left due to the neglect that happened. I was there 45 days.

My son was 8 weeks and lack of communication from the therapist and case manager until I contacted the clinical director. He is going to be discharge tomorrow and I can't talk to my son. Maybe is helpful for some. Not for my son. He said he feels worse and not heard from the team
