About San Jose Gastroenterology
San Jose Gastroenterology is praised for its dedicated medical staff, particularly Dr. Wong, who is recognized for going the extra mile in patient care. Reviews highlight the compassionate support from nurses, especially during recovery after treatment. Dr. Shieh and her team, including various assistants and anesthesiologists, are also commended for their professionalism and kindness. Patients appreciate the clear communication from physicians like Dr. Purohit, Dr. Yang, Dr. Tran, and Dr. Levitt, who have provided positive experiences over the years. However, some reviews mention challenges with the administrative staff, particularly regarding customer service and communication. Patients are advised to be patient with front desk interactions and are cautioned about strict policies on appointments and vaccination requirements. Despite these drawbacks, the overall sentiment is that the medical team at San Jose Gastroenterology delivers quality care, making it a respected choice for gastroenterology needs.
My visit was a waste of time. I was recommended to take some laxatives and come back in 3 months. I asked if Im supposed to live off taxing laxatives for rest of my life and the physician responded yes that’s normal. This is bs, more examination should have been done to find the root cause and confirm. Just making assumptions won’t do. No examinations were done to confirm the root cause of my symptoms and laxatives were recommended and high fiber, which I already take.
Cancelled an appointment less than 24 hours in advance for my mother who direly needs help with gastro issues. According to staff, they no longer accept her insurance. No excuse for this unprofessionalism. Now we have to start this referral/appointment process over
I would like to thank you, the doctors, and nurses for their enthusiastic support and help, especially the nurse who helped me recover after treatment. She has a kind heart, which made me feel very wram.
