Redwood Hospice

My family and I benefited from the services from Redwood Hospice for a very short time due to the rapid decline of my aunt. I cannot explain how much they helped us. We had been dealing with numerous hospitalizations and placements before we turned to hospice. Jobel was the Case Manager who was working that day and though they were not assigned to our family, they continued to support and answer questions over the weekend, though I'm not even positive they were scheduled to be working. Penny, the Nurse Practitioner, and Dr. Stephans were amazing, compassionate, helpful, and supportive. Sydney and Laverne are some of the most compassionate and hardworking people I have every met. I started volunteering with Redwood last year and they have been incredible Volunteer Coordinators to work with. If you are interested in engaging with end-of-life care, this is great team!

I really have to say after dealing with another hospice place before (not a bad experience either ) but deal with Redwood from the moment they took over my mom's care in July they made me feel like family. Big shout out to nurse Maylin for treating my mom very well until the end and not sugar coating anything with me especially when it was time. I always appreciated the weekly check in from her with updates and appreciate when other staff would call to see if I needed anything. Nurse Maylin will always hold a special place in my heart .
